Last week, we had an engaging panel discussion with industry peers on CO₂ infrastructure at Decarb Connect Europe. Julia Dubinina, our CCS lead for Europe, led the discussion on the pivotal role of ports in developing CO₂ export hubs, and emphasised the critical importance of partnerships. If you haven’t already, check out our sponsored paper with Decarb Connect. It explores the challenges and opportunities of decarbonising cement through CO₂ transport. The energy transition isn’t often compared to a symphony orchestra. But think about how similar they are in the degree of complexity and the need for each part to work perfectly together to get it right. Just as the composer and musicians come together to make one cohesive harmony, co-ordination across multiple stakeholders is needed to achieve net zero. That's the key message delivered at Decarb Connect by Massimiliano Mannino, VP Customer Solutions for Shell Energy. At Shell Energy we work with customers to provide an integrated portfolio of energy products and are finding ways to collaborate across sectors to come up with decarbonisation solutions at scale.
