As a small creative agency, one of the things we are most proud of is our ability to build and maintain positive relationships with our clients 🤝, and as we always say, great relationships speak for themselves. So on that note, we’re thrilled to kick off our Talking Testimonials series! 👄 Forget the same-old standalone quotes, we like to hear what our wonderful clients have to say straight from the horse’s mouth, so to speak, and to do this, we designed these cool, talking animated figures to breathe life into the voices of the people we love to work with.   The idea came about from acknowledging the common challenge both ourselves and our clients have when it comes to obtaining testimonials or case studies. We know how busy our clients are, so we wanted to make it nice and easy for them through a simple voice note approach.   So we ask you: does it often feel like you have to jump through hoops just to get a simple quote or two? Recently, team Shine received the new If Opera programme, just as the latest performances kicked off at Belcombe Court. We thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to work with If Opera once again, designing the all-important programme for their third season. As you’ll have seen on our feed a couple of months ago, we created the illustrations to depict the two core operas – Lucia di Lammermoor and Die Fledermaus - focusing on a more classical and refined style, but with a modern edge. If you didn’t get chance to get tickets this summer, never fear, If Opera will be back next year with another season of showstopping performances – this time at a brand-new venue – the beautiful Church Farm in the village of Wingfield. We look forward to working with If Opera again in 2025 and wish them all the best as they prepare for the next season. P.s. Just look at these majestic beings! 🐘 This Friday, over on the blog, we're highlighting the wonderful Coexistence Story and the Great Elephant Migration (Elephant Family) – a year-long campaign to promote coexistence between humans and animals. Discover how a herd of intricately sculptured elephants are journeying across the USA in aid of several global NGOs, such as The European Nature Trust whose mission it is - for this particular campaign - to save the endangered Marsican Brown Bear. Today in the studio, we’re celebrating World Photography Day – the annual, worldwide celebration of the art, craft, science and history of photography. Team Shine are lucky enough to have our own talented in-house photographer, Sebastian King who specialises in wedding photography, but also loves to explore themes across landscapes, the sea and the sky.   Here are a few shots from Seb’s latest series, titled ‘Skyscapes’.   Seb says: “These images taken down in rugged Cornwall beautifully reflect the ever-changing weather and the contrasts this brings to the seas and coastlines, as you can see in the photos. My parents live in Cornwall so whenever I’m down there I add an image to the series so its forever evolving. Look who’s now the proud custodian of a Caledonian ancient pine! 🌳💚   Our Lead Designer Peter not only had the pleasure of working on the groundbreaking new Pine Custodian campaign for our wonderful client Alladale Wilderness Reserve - but truly getting behind it too. More than just pulling out our pencils, this project really did inspire us to dig a little deeper - and we are now custodians of one of 100 sacred ancient Caledonian pines, of which only 2,000 now remain at Alladale. The landscape of the Scottish Highlands has changed. Despite once home to a complex web of wildlife, centuries of deforestation have taken their toll - and positive rewilding is needed if we are to recover our ecosystems. By becoming a pine custodian, you can each ensure the planting and protection of fifty native saplings, all of which will help to safeguard these natural landscapes for generations to come. 👀 Take a peek backstage to see how we created the latest illustrations for our wonderful client If Opera. Working in Procreate enables us to bring hand-drawn and digital together, to create one-off designs that capture the beauty and drama of Operas such as Lucia Di Lammermoor. The time lapse video demonstrates how we craft textures, patterns and colour to gradually build up the illustration. The final digital compositions will be used throughout the Summer 24 season and will be seen on If Opera’s website, local poster advertising, social, and will also take pride of place in the Summer Season brochure. Partnering with If Opera on creative projects is always an absolute pleasure, and nothing beats having the opportunity to see the true purpose of our work brought to life on stage.
