Today on World TB Day, we're reminded that despite being preventable and curable, tuberculosis remains one of the world's deadliest infectious diseases, particularly affecting those with limited healthcare access. Without reliable ID, millions of cases go undetected, and treatment regimens remain incomplete, fuelling drug-resistant strains. By ensuring patients can be accurately identified at every step of their TB journey, from diagnosis through treatment completion, Simprints can help healthcare workers provide consistent, personalised care even to those without formal ID. As we look ahead to the Cambridge Festival this week, we’re reflecting on the amazing leadership and vision of our Chief Strategy Officer and Co-Founder, Alexandra Grigore. Simprints’ journey from a student start-up to reaching 3 million people globally with our biometric ID platform has been documented by Anna Hoff in a new case study for Cambridge Judge Business School. 📽️ We love this clip from the film (produced in 2022) that accompanies the case study, where Alexandra explains Simprints’ mission and how our groundbreaking technology is helping unlock access to critical services for vulnerable communities: https://lnkd.in/eKKUrMYD 💬 Anna told us: "Simprints journey is hugely inspirational and a fantastic study case for students wanting to learn how to drive the growth of a non-profit organisation in the international development sector. I’m so pleased to see Simprints’ groundbreaking work, and Alexandra’s fantastic leadership recognised with a Gates Cambridge Impact Prize. I’m looking forward to following your continued impact enabling more people to have access to healthcare and other critical support." 👉 Catch Alexandra LIVE at the Cambridge Festival on 21 March 2025, alongside her fellow 2025 Gates Cambridge Impact Prize winners: https://lnkd.in/egtPnQUM 👉 Learn more about Simprints and join our journey of impact: simprints.com #ImpactPrize #Biometrics #TechForGood #GatesCambridge25 #WomenInTech #CJBS #CambridgeFestival #Cambridge #CambridgeUniversity

🌍 🤝 Simprints are proud to be members of the Bay Area Global Health Alliance, united by a shared commitment to advancing global health innovation and equity. The Bay Area Global Health Alliance serves as a neutral convener and catalyst, brokers multi-sector collaborations, and engages the tech sector alongside traditional global health stakeholders from academia, NGOs, and the public and private sectors. The Alliance’s 90+ member organisations are world-class academic institutions, innovative technology and private sector companies, start-ups, foundations, public sector institutions and experienced nonprofits caring for the world’s most vulnerable populations. With roots in the Bay Area, the Alliance has expanded to include organisations from across the United States, and the world. Its work is driven by the belief that complex global health challenges cannot be addressed by one organisation, or sector, alone. Our team member Jenny Thornton is attending #LeadWithHer25 today, an event focused on women's leadership in technology, hosted by Duke Corporate Education and at the invitation of Cisco. The conversations are generating powerful insights: ⭐ "Clarity is the key to confidence" – highlighting how transparent communication builds stronger leadership. ⭐ "What people seek most of all from leaders is hope" – a timely reminder of leadership's essential role. We're particularly excited about discussions on diversity in tech: ⭐ "While female roles in STEM still lag behind male roles, AI is looking more evenly split. We can embrace AI to ensure it creates equity for all." We're looking forward to Jenny bringing back more insights to share with our team! #LeadWithHer2025 #WomenInTech #AIForGood #LeadershipDevelopment

Our Product and Solutions team recently returned from an impactful field visit to Ethiopia, where they worked to assess and enhance our biometric solution in action. The team visited eCHIS health posts in Mirab Abaya and Lume, as well as the Geshiyaro MDA in Boloso Sore, focusing on three key objectives: evaluating current performance, optimizing existing solutions, and conducting vital research for future product designs. In this photo, Jonathan Smith engages with a mother and child visiting an eCHIS clinic in Lume. Field trips like these ensure our technology truly meets the needs of patients and health workers on the frontlines, ultimately helping to strengthen health systems where they're needed most. This work on Ethiopia’s Electronic Community Health Information System (eCHIS) is done in close collaboration with our implementing partners JSI and is funded and enhanced by Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF). #HealthTech #BiometricsForGood #GlobalHealth #TechForGood
