Did you know that the very first recorded CV was created and submitted by Leonardo DaVinci in the late 15th century? The CV has certainly passed the test of time, but is it useful if you are networking? If you are applying for an advertised role, or speaking to a recruiter, they may well take the time to open it, read it, and understand what you can bring to the party. However, when you are networking with industry contacts, trying to put yourself out there looking for jobs that you have yet to see advertised, it struck me this week, that the CV is too long. I have been trying to help people out of work connect with others in my network, but on a speculative basis, people who are not hiring today are less likely to open a CV and read it. So I had a stab at a CV in three sentences, as a way of reaching out to your network about jobs that might not even be advertised yet. It covers, as succinctly as I had the time for, the highlights of who you have worked for, what department you work in, and who you know. All feedback and suggestions on improvements openly encouraged! Your CV in 3 sentences: I have held [senior sales roles] at [publishing] and [adtech companies] including [company], [company], and [company], primarily working with media agencies and brand marketers. My contacts are strong across all agency groups, but particularly strong in [agency], [agency] and [agency]. I have demonstrated an ability to take sales opportunities from cold to close in all of the companies I have worked for, and I wondered if there might be an opportunity to do the same for you at [hiring company]? #hiring #cv #opentowork

The link between attention and memory has never been clearer! Today, Havas released a white paper titled ‘What Do 9,000 Brand Lift Studies Teach Us About Attention & Memory?’ The research underpinning this white paper was a collaboration between Havas Media Network, Lumen Research, and Brand Metrics, and it represents the largest study of its kind. Key findings from the study include: • Attention and brand outcomes are closely correlated. • Attention time is the best predictor of brand preference and intent metrics. • Aggregate attention time is crucial for brand campaigns. • Frequency drives both attentive reach and aggregate attention time. • Different attention strategies can influence various brand outcomes.
