Over summer, we held a brilliant community day & BBQ alongside Sported & Superdrug and what a day it was! The atmosphere was incredible as families and young people came together to celebrate, connect, and enjoy some well-deserved fun. A key highlight of the day was the football tournament, which saw both young people and families eagerly take part. The matches were full of energy, showcasing amazing teamwork and a true sense of healthy competition.
We were also thrilled to collaborate with Superdrug, who brought their iconic pink double-decker bus to the event. As part of the festivities, they offered a self-care experience, providing hair makeovers and skincare treatments for the young people. It was fantastic to see so many taking a moment for a bit of pampering and walking away with a boost of confidence.
After the games and self-care activities, we took time to celebrate not only the participants of the tournament but also the incredible achievements of our young people over the summer. From sports programs to creative workshops, their hard work and dedication really stood out. Awards were handed out, and smiles filled the room as we recognised their efforts.
We wrapped up the day with a delicious BBQ, serving over 50 families and young people freshly grilled food. It was the perfect way to close the event, with everyone sharing food, laughter, and great company. The day was all about celebrating community spirit and recognizing all that our young people have achieved. Here’s to many more days like this!
