Proper planning, funding, and commissioning are key to ensuring that supported housing remains a vital part of our social care and health systems. Our research highlights the critical need for a long-term housing plan that allows everyone to live as independently as possible, in a home that meets their needs. Good housing plays a vital role in supporting older people to remain healthy, independent and an active part of their community. To achieve this older people need a range of housing options that can meet their needs, including general and specialised housing, as well as better information and advice.   SCIE has a range of resources available to help all those involved in housing decisions, provision and care.
