Thank you to the team members from TUI, easyJet, and Jet2.com and Jet2holidays for taking the time to inspire our Travel & Tourism students! Recently, students from Eastleigh College and Fareham College came together for the Cabin Crew Careers morning, featuring online meetings with speakers from major airlines about the roles they offer and the recruitment process involved. This encouraged students to consider different careers in Aviation and will help them feel less anxious when applying for roles. What a fantastic event! ✈️ #TravelAndTourism #Aviation #CreatingBetterFutures

🌍 Our Students’ Incredible Experience in Sri Lanka with the Turing Scheme! Our Early Years and Education students have had an unforgettable time exploring, learning, and volunteering in Sri Lanka. As part of their work placements, they’ve been supporting children in local schools. From joining in with assemblies to helping in lessons and playtime, they’ve been inspired by the children’s enthusiasm for learning. Outside of their placements, students have made the most of their time by exploring Sri Lanka’s stunning landscapes and wildlife. They’ve cruised along the Mandu River (and even held a crocodile), visited an elephant orphanage where they fed the elephants, and had the incredible opportunity to release rescued turtles back into the ocean. This journey has been full of adventure, personal growth, and cultural exchange—an experience they’ll never forget. Want to read more about their experiences? 💬 “This opportunity has shown me I can get a job. This is a job like I have never done before, its changed my perspective of a hospital and how it works.” This Neurodiversity Celebration Week, we’re proud to spotlight our incredible interns who are currently working at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Southampton. The five interns have been working in the hospital as part of our Supported Internship Programme, which supports students with moderate learning disabilities/difficulties to get a taste of working life and gain work experience that will help them get a job. Thank you to Practice Plus Group, Southampton City Council Young Adult Employment Hub and DFN Project SEARCH for helping to make this opportunity possible. We are immensely grateful to our local Aldi UK and Tesco stores for their generous contributions! 🤝 Aldi (Bursledon & Hedge End) donated huge boxes of cereal bars (valued at £30 each) for Southampton College students, and Tesco (Fareham, North Harbour & Whitely) once again provided a impressive supply of cereal bars for Fareham College students. These partnerships are invaluable in supporting our students. ❤️ #LocalHeroes #GivingBack #CollegeSupport
