South London Careers Hub

What a fantastic day of learning about careers in South London’s 5 #keygrowthsectors at South London Careers Hub’s CAREERS DISCOVERED event at Merton College. It was wonderful to welcome the careers community across South London, all eager to speak to employers, to learn about the world of work and how to use this knowledge to help young people in finding their future career paths. Welcome notes from Roshan Bilimoria from the South London Careers Hub, Dr Sharon Young from Merton College, Ayodeji Akande from the Greater London Authority, and a keynote from Nick Chambers from Education and Employers started the day. And it was concluded by two very insightful seminars by Monet Durieux about #LondonLMI and Holly Hobbs 🤳🏽 about #apprenticeships concluded the event. A big thank you to all employers that made the workshop so interactive, informative and personable, as well as to Education and Employers for facilitating this brilliant event.

An exciting day of learning about #Hospitality for a group of talented students from the SEND Orchard Hill College led by Tracy Hicklin at the beautiful Richmond Hill Hotel. Wonderfully hosted by Miriam Balmori and her brilliant team. A great chance for the young people to show their skills and passion for the industry. The South London Partnership & South London Careers Hub highly appreciate the fantastic partnership with the hotel and their examplary engagement in promoting opportunities in the industry.
