We’re pleased to announce the public consultation for our exciting new green hydrogen project at the South of Scotland Enterprise Chapelcross Energy Transition Zone. Our proposed project, which is subject to planning permission, aims to help kickstart the development of the main Chapelcross site, which is being taken forward by a variety of partners. The green hydrogen production project is expected to deliver: 🦺 50 high-skilled jobs during operation, plus 150 jobs during construction 🔋 Capability to produce over 4,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year 🌳 CO2 emissions reductions of up to 26,000 tonnes per annum - equivalent to planting 20,000 hectares of broadleaf forest. 📅 The first public consultation event will take place at Creca Village Hall on 1st April 2025, 2pm-7pm.
