South West Fundraisers Forum

Civic and Social Organizations

A space for fundraisers across the South West (and beyond!) to network, learn and be empowered to raise more.

About us

We believe that fundraisers are at their best when they’re connected, surrounded by people that ‘get’ them, encouraged by others who face the same challenges, and nurtured to learn more so that they can raise more. That’s why we’ve created the South West Fundraisers Forum – a place for you to plug in, connect and be encouraged. The South West of the UK is full of incredible charities and not-for-profit organisations who transform lives day in day out. But very often it’s an isolated place when it comes to accessing training, networking opportunities and chances to develop. With limited charity budgets the cost of the train fares alone can often mean fundraisers can miss out. We’ll be hosting a series of free virtual networking and learning events on the topics that matter to you. As the year progresses and you tell us what you need, we hope to grow and stage further events and training courses virtually and in person – all with one single aim – to empower you to raise more and be an effective (and happy!) fundraiser. Come with us on the journey! Sign up today to receive regular e-updates and links to forthcoming networking and learning opportunities. We can’t wait to see you, learn with you and grow together.

    Director of Fundraising

Nothing says Communtiy Fundraising like a tea cosy!!! And I resisted the urge to wear it and match Jane Montague MCIOF and her glitter ball hat energy!?! What a joy to speak this morning and deliver the opening plenary at the Hospice Income Generation Network online conference! So much value in gathering, learning, and encouraging one another.

Award-Winning Charity Leadership Specialist: Leadership & People Development | Fundraising & Marketing / Comms | Workplace Culture & Wellbeing | Coach & Mentor

350 responses Despite all of the "wanging-on" I and others have shared on here, by email, and on other platforms, to date the number of participants in the #CharityWell project is 350 people 😱 You might not have taken part yet as you've assumed loads of others will have done 😱 You might not have taken part yet as you've got nothing to say or share on wellbeing 😱 You might not have taken part yet as you're not used to being asked about what you think, and don't feel your opinion or experience matters 😱 You might not have seen me ask you to take part before 😱 You might have seen me ask a few times and just not have had the chance to do it yet 😱 You might not think that the audience includes you 👍 If you work in or with the charity sector, whether that be in-house, freelance or consultant 👍 If you work in the UK or anywhere else in the world Then this survey IS FOR YOU! Your voice and your opinion matters So too does your wellbeing, your life and your contribution This survey isn't just about creating a survey. It's about using data to help persuade and create change. It's about providing practical examples and suggestions of how to amplify and increase the good stuff It's about providing practical examples and suggestions of how to reduce and remove the bad stuff It's about making the charity sector a place where everyone's wellbeing matters Please spare 8-10 minutes today and share your experiences https://lnkd.in/eWQ59Zba
