About us
Our Mission is to provide the highest standard of specialist palliative care to individuals with complex life-limiting conditions, irrespective of their condition or place of care. We will provide wrap-around support for their physical, emotional and social needs, and will also support their families through this process. We will ensure that care is centred around the individual’s wishes and needs, supporting them from the point of diagnosis and helping them to live well with their condition. Southern Area Hospice provides the service across the Southern Health Board area, including Newry & Mourne, Craigavon, Banbridge, Portadown, Armagh and Dungannon. All our services are provided free of charge and we rely heavily on voluntary donations to continue providing our special care. 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐑-𝐅𝐈𝐓 𝐁𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝟓𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐎𝐓𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 ⚽ We are happy to announce this year's dates for our highly anticipated Business 5s tournament which takes place at Newry Cages on Friday 6th & 13th June during #MensHealthWeek. All proceeds from the events will go directly to our new charity partner Southern Area Hospice. Entry fee will be £200 with each team receiving a brand new set of bespoke PLAYR-FIT jerseys with your company logo and colours. PLAYR-FIT will be covering the cost of these jerseys as all money will be going directly to the Hospice. Tournament takes place 1-5PM and will be followed by a presentation, food and drinks. Killowen Distillery Charity Bottling! We are delighted to share the news that Killowen Distillery have very kindly decided to carry out a charity auction of 88 bottles of Killowen Barántúil Cask #KD056 Threshing Oats. The oats used were sourced from the Rostrevor & District Vintage Club at their Annual Threshing Day in support of Southern Area Hospice five years ago.
