    Say hello to whataboutisms. But who are we? Whataboutisms is dedicated to platforming young communicators. Our mission is to promote critical thinking, foster intellectual discourse, and tackle specific societal issues among junior communication professionals. Today, we're excited to announce the first event: a debate for young communicators – interns, apprentices, trainees, university students, and those in junior-level roles – intended to build and celebrate young voices as they exchange ideas on issues that matter to them. Join us on the 11th of July for an engaging and thought-provoking evening tailored specifically for young communications professionals. This event features a dynamic debate on the rapid advancements in Artificial Intelligence and their implications globally and for our industry. Following the debate, there will be an excellent opportunity to network with peers, industry leaders, and AI experts. Simon is a storyteller at heart, drawing on over 20 years of journalism and communications expertise to join this panel having worked as a reporter, agency leader and in-house executive. Simon's currently SVP Corporate Affairs at Zalando (Europe's biggest e-commerce company) leading an integrated function spanning external and internal communications, public affairs, corporate publishing and financial communication. Simon was previously a London-based Partner at Milltown Partners, a strategic communications and public policy advisory firm. He worked on clients including Meta, Google DeepMind, Tesla, IKEA and KKR. Simon started his career as a journalist working in senior positions for Bloomberg News across the UK, Germany and the US focusing on technology and M&A reporting.     Gen Zs are joining the workforce in larger numbers than ever before. Digitally-savvy, purpose-driven, and entrepreneurial, will they transform the world of work as we know it – or will they inevitably conform to existing working cultures?  At Turbocharge, we’ll be debating the future of work and Gen Z’s role in it on November 7th in London, with two young debaters setting out their opposing arguments.
