Building Transformation — Before and After 🪄 98 Theobalds Road offers 133,000 sqft of best-in-class fitted office space, within a HQ building full of amenities. Originally designed for Warner Bros., we completely reworked the building from the inside out. At its heart, the atrium was transformed, and a seven-storey central staircase was introduced. Since completing this comprehensive refurbishment, we recently designed a new ground-floor cafe, in readiness for the property to be sublet on a floor-by-floor basis. New Concept: 360 Retail Experience 🌟👕🛍️ We've developed a 360-degree retail experience. This immersive room, featuring an infinity digital wall and a mirror ball, serves as a dynamic backdrop for product drops, special campaigns, and events. Flexibility was key in the design, which is why the room is arranged as an amphitheatre. This allows the space to be used for various purposes, including talks, product launches, or garment displays. New project: The Sage flow 🖊💚 Our design guide is the start of Sage’s journey in shaping their future workplace value proposition, it illustrates all the key components and how they assemble to create an epic experience for their colleagues and customers. spacelab_ partnered with Incendium Consulting Ltd to create a global workplace strategy, which was compiled into a destination design guide. This design guide serves as a tool for Sage and their partners to acquire, define and design new (or improve existing) environments. It is great to see that our concepts are already being used to deliver Sage’s workplaces across the globe including Winnersh in the UK which was completed in July, and the upcoming launches in stateside Toronto, Atlanta and Vancouver. It’s International Day of Charity! 🤝💙🌍 Today reminds us of the important role charity and community play in our studio and industry. Each year, we dedicate time and resources to support charities at no cost. So far, we’ve donated unused product samples to The Sample Project and raised money for the Architects Benevolent Society and WWF through charity runs—but we want to do more. If you know of any charities or community groups in need of pro bono design help or volunteers, please reach out—we’d love to lend a hand.
