I was in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea last week with a colleague, visiting customers and sites in the area. The Grenfell Tower 💚 still stands as a tragic reminder to all in regards to fire safety - and how we should all be constantly learning and improving to ensure things are done correctly today and into the future. We wrapped up the week with an internal training session from Neil Smith, covering off the various factors involved when testing doorsets - Fire, Smoke, Endurance, Security, Weather - and how we can support our customers on this journey of complete compliance. Not good enough The O2 arena 😶🙃🔥 Even a Rutland Door Controls overhead closer like the one here can't close a fire door 𝐢𝐟 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧! Fire safety matters, especially in such an area with so many people, and a fire door doesn't work if it's not closed. What can we do as an industry to help improve these situations?
