When you plan offsites make sure you DO the things that you CANNOT do when meeting online. That was very much the message from Google Cloud’s Christopher Hein who kindly asked me over to Austin, Texas to train his fabulous team of Customer Engineers working with Education & Government. These are people with deep technical expertise. But these 2 days were much more about the important softer skills required in the role. Day 1 was all about everyday creative problem solving working on real live customer challenges. Day 2 was all about building and delivering more engaging presentations especially when bringing complex solutions to life. 2 days packed with learning, no unnecessary digital distraction, lots of focus, we connected and had fun together. And I walked away with a Mario Brothers costume so I am all set for a US Halloween 🎃! Thanks to everyone for the energy you brought. Exceptional work! #offsites #creativethinking #presentationskills

✈️ ⏰ Despite a 7-hour delay in Doha, I successfully made it to Bangkok, and it was truly worth the journey! We've just wrapped up 2 enlightening sessions focusing on both mindset and skillset, essential elements that together cultivate a more innovative approach to daily challenges. Representatives from 15 different countries came together, honing their newfound skills to tackle internal and external opportunities. Witnessing everyone enjoy themselves while learning and forming connections was truly inspiring. Remember, you don't need to be serious to solve serious problems! 😜 A big THANK-YOU to the amazing team at Forvis Mazars, Fay Bordbar, Cilia C. Kanellopoulos, Nicolas Buchi, and Helen Clements for their fantastic collaboration, which led to an exceptional learning event. And of course all the attendees. Most high performing companies have well-articulated values. How many organizations truly equip their teams to live those values daily? Ella's Kitchen excels at this, especially in training sessions like the recent one on the value of Being Curious. This value encourages stepping out of comfort zones, asking why, challenging norms, and seeking deeper insights. Mindset eats process for breakfast. 🍳 Fabulous to be a small part of a year-long leadership program for Porsche Holdings. My job today was to get a bunch smart leaders in the right mindset to go innovate and experiment in their business. My argument is always that leaders create the right conditions for innovation. I’ve had some bizarre work travel experiences lately. Last week my train sadly hit a deer which caused an air leak and a 3 hour delay. Today was going so well until a slightly dodgy and angry Parisian Bolt driver refused to take me to my location unless I cancelled my trip on the app and got cash out to pay him directly. Jetsetting is not always glamorous! So I have taken time out in the fresh air and beautiful surroundings of HEC Paris to calm down a little. And breathe 🧘

Little things mean a lot. Just had a wonderful day training the Notorious Communications team on getting even more insightful in the work they do.
