As it’s Care Experienced Week, we are taking a moment to highlight the positive, life-changing impact of our SPACE programme, designed to support care experienced children and young people. 💓 The young people we support always choose the activities they participate in, including horse riding, skate boarding and bouldering. 🧗 One young people said: "That badminton game was so much fun, I forgot I could actually do it well! Thank you for helping me to play again." 💬 To find out more or refer a young person you know, simply email space@sportaberdeen.co.uk #KeepThePromise sportscotland The Promise Scotland

This week, it’s Care Experienced Week, so we wanted to take the opportunity to highlight our role as a corporate parent. 🫶 By definition, a corporate parent is the name given to an individual or organisation who has a special responsibility to support the needs of care experienced children and young people. We take our responsibilities seriously, with every care experienced young person eligible to receive a free 'Get active' membership and access to swimming lessons. 🏊 Our SPACE programme supports care experienced young people through sport and physical activity, providing opportunities that might not have otherwise been accessible. We usually host a SPACE Christmas party for young people and a member of their support network to attend, where each gets a selection box and gift. 🎁 Find out more or refer a young person by emailing space@sportaberdeen.co.uk #KeepThePromise sportscotland The Promise Scotland
