At Springer Nature, we want our people to feel empowered to generate ideas and see progress on topics that matter to them. SN Pride was the first employee network to be launched. Since then, the network aims to help all of its members feel accepted, supported and included by offering guidance to the company, creating resources to support employees at work and at home, organising events and working together with the wider LGBTQ+ community in Science and Education. During pride Month, Noor-Ann Haq, Editorial Communities Manager and co-chair of our SN Pride chapter in London, answered three questions.

Retractions have a bad reputation. The retraction of academic papers often functions as an indictment against the reputation of a researcher. In this LSE Impact Blog , Tim Kersjes, Head of Research Integrity, Resolutions, argues that for retractions to function as an effective corrective to the scholarly record they need shed this punitive reputation: https://lnkd.in/dYHmDECk

Over the past six months, 15 Berlin Sciencefluencers from the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) have been equipped to communicate their research to the public via social media, building trust in science. Some of our SN Ambassadors joined a Q&A session in April sharing their experiences and insights on leveraging social media for science communication. As a proud programme partner, we were excited to welcome the audience at an Award Ceremony in June, where the best Sciencefluencers were honored. Our joint mission of advancing discovery and disseminating trusted knowledge became evident during the welcome notes by Tina Harseim and Alexandra-Gwyn Paetz, the President of the BUA. Moderated by Dr. Irène Y. Kilubi and Thomas Lilge, the event highlighted the importance of science communication in today's world. Congratulations to the winning Berlin Sciencefluencers 2024: Anja Bergmann, Stephanie Giljohann & Leonie Reuter! 🏆 You can learn more about them here: https://bit.ly/3xHlgV4 #Sciencefluencer2024
