We’re pleased to announce we have secured a contract to operate four units at Perth Airport in Australia. The new restaurants will include, WA Cellar, a bar and casual dining concept created specifically for Perth Airport,Co & Co (Coffee & Cocktails), a tailor-made concept which will give travellers an authentic sense of the region and Roll’d, a fast, fresh Vietnamese concept. We are excited to bring these unique dining experiences to Perth Airport and look forward to welcoming travellers to enjoy the best of Western Australian cuisine and hospitality. Today we mark #GlobalRecyclingDay2025.   At SSP, we’re committed to transitioning to sustainable packaging by eliminating unnecessary single-use plastic and moving 100% of our own brand packaging to be reusable, recyclable or compostable by 2025.   And we’ve nearly achieved that goal, with 97% of our global own brand packaging volume being reusable, recyclable or compostable in 2024 and 95% being free of unnecessary single-use plastic 🙌   We've made good progress in the past years, which you can read more about in our Planet (pp.30-39) and Sustainability in our Markets (pp.12-22) chapters of our 2024 Sustainability Report: https://lnkd.in/eHXeRVfX #WeAreSSP #BestPartofTheJourney

At SSP, we’re committed to protecting the safety and wellbeing of our colleagues, customers and clients by giving our teams the tools and information they need to stay safe. Our Group Safety team is responsible for embedding a culture of safety throughout our business, and today we’re shining a light on Chloejade Sullivan, Group Safety Data Analyst, and her career journey with SSP over the past 12 years.   Chloejade began her career in operations as an On-Board Host for our rail catering business in the UK and continued to develop through various roles before becoming a key member of the Group Safety team in 2023.   It’s the varied roles that have kept Chloejade at SSP for so long. "The opportunities here are endless”, she says. “I’ve transitioned from customer service to management, and now to safety data analytics. I’ve been able to work on introducing a new reporting app which provides clear guidance for our teams around the world and ensures transparent and consistent safety reporting across all regions. Such tools are critical to reporting our safety processes to minimise risk. Whilst you have to 'measure it to manage it', safety is so much more than numbers, it’s about the people behind them. International Women's Day is a day to amplify women's voices, celebrate achievements, and inspire future generations. At SSP, we believe in fostering a culture of belonging where everyone can truly be themselves and are proud of the progress we have made on gender diversity in the past year. This included continuing to maintain parity at Board level, which was recently recognised by FTSE Women Leaders Review, the launch of our Women's Networks in the UK, Australia and Bahrain, and the delivery of Inclusive Leadership training to over 100 of our senior leaders across the world.  To celebrate International Women’s Day, we asked some of our female leaders from around our business what advice they would give to their younger selves. We’re committed to creating an environment of belonging where every voice is not only heard but celebrated. As part of our ‘Belong at SSP’ approach, we’re dedicated to promoting gender diversity among our senior leaders to ensure our leadership reflects both our communities and the customers we serve. We also actively support the development of our female leaders, particularly in areas where women are underrepresented. As we approach International Women’s Day on 8 March, we are very proud to celebrate three of our female senior leaders who have been included on the WiHTL & Diversity in Retail Women to Watch list. We began our partnership with WiHTL in 2023 to accelerate our 'Belong at SSP' journey and learn from other organisations in our industry. Collaborating with WiHTL and their community has allowed us to follow the latest Diversity, Equity and Inclusion developments within the hospitality, travel and leisure sector and gives our people the opportunity to attend development programmes aimed at women in leadership and ethnic leadership.
