The Home of Golf. Home to seven public courses, including the world-famous Old Course.
About us
Much like the game of golf itself, St Andrews Links has evolved for more than 600 years. Today, more than 230,000 rounds are played over our seven public courses. The Links manages a number of additional facilities including a golf academy, three clubhouses and four shops. St Andrews Links is a very diverse business and the team work hard to deliver an exceptional experience for everyone. We employ around 300 people in the peak season, making us one of the largest employers in St Andrews. We are a charitable trust, and throughout our unique history the focus of the Links has remained on nurturing the game here in St Andrews, ensuring our golf courses are open to all, managing the courses in a sustainable way and providing free golf to the children of the town through our junior golf programme, SALJGA. We proudly represent this place every day, helping to share our values both at home and abroad through the St Andrews Links brand. Over time, like the living landscape on which the Links stands, St Andrews Links has evolved into a brand which is recognised around the world, transcending language and culture, generating passion and admiration across generations young and old alike. Today the St Andrews Links brand mirrors the unique place and status it holds in the game of golf, synonymous with a cherished set of values steeped in history, which remain as prevalent today as they were 600 years ago.

We are pleased to share that St Andrews Links Trust is in advanced discussions to take over a long-term lease of the championship Duke's golf course, adding an eighth course to our stewardship at the world-renowned Home of Golf. The plans, which are subject to finalisation, would see the Links Trust take over the management of the Duke’s course later this year from the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa, owned by US-based Kohler. The agreement would provide additional playing opportunities for links ticket holders and visitors to St Andrews.

Yesterday we were delighted to be joined by members of local charities for a delicious festive lunch at the Tom Morris Bar & Grill. It was a great opportunity for us to learn a little bit more about the work these organisations do within the community. More than that – it was a chance to celebrate those who work hard giving their time to others this festive season. The event was hosted by our recently appointed Community Engagement Lead, Christine Randall-Klee. We were lucky to be joined by the following organisations: St Andrews Community Trust, Families First, North East Fife Community Hub, Lady Margaret Skiffington Trust, St Andrews Environmental Network, Storehouse St Andrews Foodbank and Options in Life.

We would like to acknowledge the incredible support shown by our colleagues across the business last month in aid of our Movember campaign. The campaign was organised by our Wellbeing Champions, the first Employee Resource Group established at St Andrews Links Trust. Dave Barrie, one of our Wellbeing Champions, took lead on the initiative and chose to fundraise for it, using any and all opportunities to start conversations focused on men’s health with colleagues around the business. Whilst the primary focus for Movember was raising awareness on men’s health, we thank all our colleagues who donated and supported the cause and helped Dave in raising £428.
