Charity providing free palliative care to adult patients across North West Wales.
About us
St David’s Hospice is a local charity, caring for local people, delivering specialist care to adult patients with life limiting illnesses or those in need of end of life care and their families. Every year, this touches the lives of over 1000 people within our local communities from across the counties of Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey. We offer 24 hour care, 365 days a year providing a clinical service alongside emotional, physical and spiritual support. In our Day Care Unit we provide patient care, bereavement and counselling services, whilst our Inpatient Unit offers symptom control, respite and end of life care. This year it will cost over £5 million to run St David’s Hospice with just 9% of that figure coming from the Welsh Government and Local Health Board. The majority of this comes from community fundraising. None of these costs are passed to the patients, their families or carers, because St David’s Hospice care is free to all. For more information about our work, please visit www.stdavidshospice.org.uk or call 01492 879058.

𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚’𝐬 "𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐎𝐧𝐞" 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐚 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐚𝐝 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 🌹 David Stafford passed away in St David's Hospice (North Wales) 10 years ago today 💜 His daughter, Amanda Dixon, joined 𝐒𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝'𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞 after experiencing first hand the importance of Hospice Care. David, along with his wife Beryl, ran the All in One Garden Centre for many years – it was a real family business as Amanda also worked there along with her brother Jason. The family wanted to reproduce the rose, named after their Garden Centre, as a tribute to David. Recently that dream came true as Amanda took delivery of 40 of the beautiful climbing red rose 🌹 “𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐧. Amada has created a tribute fund in memory of her Dad and to help raise funds for 𝐒𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝'𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞 💜 You can visit the page here https://bit.ly/3DETFXS

𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 £𝟔𝟓𝐊 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝’𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞 We are incredibly grateful to Bryson Recycling for their 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 £𝟔𝟓,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝'𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞, a contribution made possible through its innovative 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐮𝐬𝐞 shops in Mochdre and Rhyl. The 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐮𝐬𝐞 initiative encourages residents to donate items that are too good to be disposed of. 𝐁𝐫𝐲𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 will then donate £1 to charity for every tonne they recycle. In the past year alone, 260,000 items have been sold at the shops, successfully diverting 325 tonnes of materials from landfill. Commenting on the donation, 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐡, General Manager at 𝐁𝐫𝐲𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠, said: “As a social enterprise, 𝐁𝐫𝐲𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 is committed to finding more sustainable ways to deal with our waste. When you choose to reuse, you can make a real difference – not only are you helping keep items in use longer, which benefits the environment, but you also supporting the local economy and a charity that provides vital services in our community. Thank you to everyone who has either donated or bought items at our shops, which has helped made this donation possible”. Margaret Hollings, Commercial Director at 𝐒𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝'𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞, added: “The work that 𝐁𝐫𝐲𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 is doing is incredible and is very much aligns with our values when it comes to sustainability. We are really grateful to them for choosing to donate this amazing sum to 𝐒𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝'𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞 and thank all those in the community for helping to raise such an amount that will make a massive difference to our patients.”
