With thousands of staff caring for patients around the clock, St George's is one of the largest healthcare providers in southwest London. Our main site, St George’s Hospital in Tooting – one of the country’s principal teaching hospitals – is shared with St George's, University of London, which trains medical students and carries out advanced medical research. As well as acute hospital services, we provide a wide variety of specialist and community hospital based care and a full range of community services to children, adults, older people and people with learning disabilities. These services are provided from Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton, 11 health centres and clinics, schools and nurseries, patients' homes and HMP Wandsworth.

Behind the scenes in theatre 👀 Every month, thousands of people have surgery in the hospitals across our Group. A St George's patient ‘gifted another life’ after two cardiac arrests has praised ‘incredible’ medics. Sue Whitham, 62, was placed in a medically-induced coma for several weeks after being rushed to hospital in an ambulance. She has now recovered and has thanked Dr Jonathan Aron and his team at St George’s and paramedics at London Ambulance Service. Sue said: “The hospital medics at St George’s were incredible.
