Breaking news from our latest care home, St Mary's Chanterlands! We are delighted to announce that St Mary's Chanterlands, the latest addition to the St Mary's Group portfolio, has officially opened its doors to the community at 340 Chanterlands Avenue, Hull, HU5 4DT! 🏡🎉 The grand opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by the Honorary Alderman of Kingston Upon Hull, Steve Wilson, along with our wonderful residents and dedicated staff. 🎀✂️ The event commenced at 10:45 AM, with Alderman Steve Wilson receiving a warm welcome from our Home Manager, Jayne Boothby. Wilson, who had the honour of cutting the ribbon alongside residents Angela, Ralph, and Charlie, expressed his delight at the new facilities. 🌿🏢 "St Mary's Chanterlands is just what the area needed – a nursing home and residential environment second to none," he commented during his tour of the state-of-the-art building and its beautifully landscaped gardens. The celebration didn't end there! 🎡🎉 Our annual summer fair coincided with the opening, providing residents, their families, and local citizens with an afternoon of entertainment. The fair featured a variety of stalls, raffles, tombola, and cake stalls, creating a festive atmosphere that was enjoyed by all. 🍰🎟️ Jayne Boothby, who was the first to welcome Alderman Wilson into the home, shared her excitement about the successful move from the old St Mary's Nursing Home, just yards away. "It was a pleasure to greet Alderman Wilson. The move was made possible by the dedication of our care team, who even came in on their days off to ensure everything went smoothly.
