As an independent local charity, we only receive a small grant from the NHS to fund the care that we provide. The rest of our running costs are raised thanks to the generosity of our supporters. Part of this generosity includes people leaving gifts to us in their Wills. In fact, 1 in 4 of our patients are cared for thanks to these gifts. No matter what size, any gift you decide to leave to us in your Will will be incredibly appreciated and go a long way in making a difference to local lives in your community. We are proud to be supporting Hospice UK #HospiceCareWeek this week. This year the focus is on Hospice Retail and our #HospiceShopHeroes. At St Wilfrid’s, we have 12 charity shops and an online shop, each with their own dedicated team of employees and volunteers, who make an amazing shopping experience for our customers. To celebrate the week, all of our shops have decorated their windows to reflect the cause that they help fund and we hope you’ll pop in and say hello!
