    I have recently seen a post asking for #NoBS with #HRTech and #SaaS vendors. I personally think they can get a bad reputation, due to false promises and blue sky features, seldom coming to fruition, despite the suave sales pitch. For me as an implementation and delivery guru, I find current features the most important! > How do you benefit me right now? > How do you meet the must-have requirements? > How are you performing with your core offering? Recently, I have had the pleasure of working closely with Mark Seemann / Kathryn Westwood @ StaffCircle on their AI Skills Framework and the benefits it realistically provides HR/L&D teams. As an independent consultant, I have been providing un-biased critical feedback, on it's features and benefits to my clients, as a HR solution. The stand-out take-away for me, is that it just works! Here and now, it has saved me time and effort, the unknown amount of time researching Job role skills, capabilities and level criterion for each position within the organisation. One might ask... Does the AI do it properly? Well the answer is Yes. The context needed to support this answer, is that with anything AI led, is that it is used in an appropriate manner. You will need to finish the job, by adding that 20% of the equation, to the 80% that is now ready and waiting. The AI successfully researched and pulled through a collation of what is already out there within the industry. I then went through the output and tweaked the tone of voice and some of the nuances that each company is bound to have. Overall the end output will require critical thinking and an experienced eye to validate prior to use within the organisation The final note is to say that the AI Skills Framework was useful, efficient and a huge time saver for me.     Dear HR Tech Vendors: Can We Cut the Bullsh*t? Every year, we hear the same thing. “This is revolutionary!” Let’s be honest—more often than not, it’s marketing hype. Smoke and mirrors. Over-promising, under-delivering. Evolutionary, maybe. Revolutionary, likely not. I know, I've been there! Now, I get it—the nature of SaaS means you’re selling a vision. That’s good. But here’s a thought: Sell a vision AND a roadmap you can actually deliver. Stop making promises just to close a deal. When those promises don’t materialize, your credibility tanks. Enterprise organizations are tired of broken commitments. So, here’s my ask: Sell the vision, but only sell to your next 6-12 months of roadmap. Not the magic AI-driven, skills-based utopia that might exist in 2028. Now, let me be clear. This is not pointing a finger everywhere... there are brilliant vendors out there solving problems with ingenuity and a high degree of honesty. I know a whole bunch of them! So let’s flip this: 💡 Who’s an HR Tech vendor that you've worked with that delivers on their promises? 💡 Who’s an unsung hero that under-promises and over-delivers? Let me know in the comments.
