☁📊 Loving this post from STATSports highlighting the incredible capabilities of the STATSports Sonra Cloud and how it's helping New Zealand Rugby! This case study from New Zealand Rugby and Hurricanes halfback, Cam Roigard, provides a perfect example of the benefits of the highly powerful STATSports Sonra Cloud federation architecture. Upon initial unit download, all 10 Hz raw data is automatically uploaded to the STATSports Sonra Cloud and distributed to all users with the appropriate data permissions. When the All Blacks performance staff pull down this data from the Sonra Cloud, it is displayed as metric data calculated based on each user’s preferences for metric definitions, speed zones, acceleration/deceleration zones, thresholds, and more 📊 This setup allows every Sonra Cloud user across the New Zealand Rugby performance pathway - from the All Blacks to the Super Rugby teams and NPC clubs - to operate independently while also ensuring the standardisation of data for every team and every player 💪 The automatic and continuous synchronisation of raw data occurs in the background of the STATSports Sonra Cloud software. This also ensures seamless integration with third-party software platforms, including athlete management systems, to provide a holistic overview of player performance 🏉 Exciting to see the role that STATSports Sonra Cloud is playing in bringing together data-driven insights for high performance and safe return-to-play scenarios. Kudos to the Hurricanes high-performance and medical team for their work with Cam Roigard's recovery! #statsports #sonracloud #newzealandrugby #rugby #allblacks #hurricanes
Brilliant to see All Blacks’ scrum-half Cam Roigard close to completing his RTP after rupturing his patella back in March. The halfback hit a 4min 29 Bronco in training this week, which is only 17 seconds off the time he completed in last year’s Super Rugby pre-season at full fitness. Unreal work by the Hurricanes high performance staff to get him back on the field safely in double quick time. Shout out Brad Mayo, Luke Stephenson, Jarrod Stevenson, Sam Ritchie and the rest of the team there. Quick mention on how our Sonra Cloud technology is being used in this scenario: the All Blacks’ performance staff can access Roigard’s physical performance data via the Cloud. The sharing of data between the clubs and federation coaches means there are zero blind spots for load monitoring as the player moves between club and country. Roigard is reportedly targeting a return at the end of the NPC Championship in early October. The All Blacks will be able to see his performance data from those games and understand where his current athletic profile is at compared to international levels - a holistic overview of athletic performance. Perfect for international federations or clubs with a large structure underneath it 👌
