    How do you genuinely engage onsite teams to create content for social media that you can actually use? 📸 ...sorryyyyyy, that's a clients-only secret 👀 We manage the social media channels of hotel and hostel brands around the world. We (unfortunately) cannot be in every place they are based yet we consistently share content that is created on their properties (shot by people who aren't professional photographers, videographers or content creators - although that's, of course, great too!). 99.9% of brands come to us with the conundrum of struggling to engage onsite teams (who have tonnes of other tasks to complete) enough to consistently create content for socials that showcases what's actually going off onsite. How do we engage teams who we've often not met in person? Again, it's Stay the Night client privilege 😜 however it's about communicating the 'why' (and removing the marketing jargon), providing tips, tactics and extremely clear briefs and ultimately removing the pressure. It's content creation - it can be fun! We now receive hundreds of pieces of content from clients that can be used in all kinds of ways to show off what’s actually going on site, promote offerings and drive bookings… …and it does drive bookings - 79% of users say low-fi style content highly impacts their purchasing decisions 📸 Here’s an example of what we created last week from the Mad Monkey team’s onsite content for Halloween ⬇️ #hotelmarketing #hostelmarketing #hospitalitymarketing #contentcreation

    Our journey to becoming the world's only hybrid hospitality specialist agency... In 2019 - a year after we started as hostel marketing specialists - we began to see a shift within our client base of hostels moving towards higher quality design as well as increased investment in the sector. At the same time, hotels began to want a piece of the hostel pie, beginning to focus on community-centric spaces and programmes.     Staying the night at… Locke Hotels x Locke de Santa Joana 🇵🇹 We’re exploring hybrid hotels in Lisbon - starting with Locke Hotels’ newest site. Located in the heart of the city, Locke de Santa Joana is a huge aparthotel - the biggest in the Locke portfolio - made up of four separate blocks and 370 rooms, as well as an outdoor terrace and courtyard complete with a restaurant, patio and pool. For digital nomads and bleisure travellers, there’s also an onsite coworking space (which definitely came in handy for us 💻). Despite the vastness of the site, the shared spaces manage to feel welcoming and intimate. From a design perspective, there’s a real sense of place here - the property was once a 17th century convent and there are nods to the building’s history and neighbourhood throughout. Like all Locke properties, Santa Joana offers beautifully designed apartments with all the comforts of home, including fully equipped kitchens that are ideal for a longer stay. One of the absolute highlights, though, is the food and beverage scene at this site 🍸 During our stay, we loved the SPIRITLAND LIMITED bar - the result of a perfectly aligned partnership between Locke and the London-born space curators known for their immersive sound experiences and expertly crafted cocktails. There’s also a cute lobby coffee shop - Castro’s - where you can get your caffeine (and pastel de nata) fix! Plus, we’re already planning a return to try renowned Portuguese chef Nuno Mendes’ new restaurant that opened its doors the day we checked out. Santa Joana captures everything we love about Locke’s approach - and encompasses much more than we can capture in just one caption!     Stay the Night takes Lisboa 🇵🇹 This week, some of our team spent a few days together exploring the Portuguese capital’s many amazing hospitality hang-outs 🙌🏼 With one of our mottos being ‘life’s too short to have a sh*t time at work’, 48 hours of good fun, food and face-to-face time was just what the doctor ordered. From hotel hopping to cruising the river Tagus to cocktails at some of the city’s best rooftop bars (shout out MAMA SHELTER LISBOA 👋) we really made the most of this trip. It can be a mix of all sorts which is one of my favourite parts of working at STN.
