About us
Here at Stick 'n' Step we believe in doing one thing and doing it well. And our one thing is supporting children and young people with cerebral palsy and their families. We offer free weekly or twice-weekly group conductive education sessions to children and young people from across the North West. Delivered from our specialised centre in Wirral, the sessions are designed to help each child to reach their personal potential in terms of their confidence, mobility and independence. Every child works towards their own set of personalised goals which are all designed to translate into movements, techniques and strategies that will help in real life. From moving around independently, to improving self-feeding; and learning to use the toilet on their own to tying shoelaces - everything we do is designed to reduce each child's dependency on other people, and to give them the best chances of living a full and independent life.

🌟 It’s Trustees’ Week 2024 this week. It is a time for us to come together to celebrate the achievements of nearly one million trustees across the UK. The Trustees at Stick ‘n’ Step are expertly led by Rob, with Amanda as his deputy. Together with Alison, Claire, Ellis, Frank, Jayne and Paul they give up their valuable time to share their expertise throughout the year doing so with passion and enthusiasm. The last year has been challenging but with their support and expertise we have worked through the challenges and we stand here today stronger than ever. The team have all just returned from a creative escape in the Cheshire countryside hosted by @:Toolerstone gifting programme. We received a very warm welcome, truly amazing hospitality and we all came away with stunning baskets that we made ourselves. Our tutor Rachel was outstanding, her knowledge second to none and with so much patience! We all thoroughly enjoyed every second, your hospitality is to be applauded, we can't wait to do it again in the summer 🤞
