StoSilent Distance is an acoustic panel system that allows you to design seamless and sound-absorbing ceilings which have to be suspended, for example to reduce the room height, accommodate services or to achieve a certain aesthetic. The system features a metal profile sub-structure fitted with acoustic panels manufactured from expanded glass granulate. The lightweight system is easy to cut and work with, and can be adjusted to suit any room shape while still creating a uniform, seamless surface. Contact Sto for further information. The Grand Exchange comprises 242 apartments divided between two angular blocks, a co-working hub, a resident-only gym, entertainment space, and spa treatments. The development was designed with high eco-standards and a suite of Sto products was chosen to help realise this vision. The StoTherm Mineral K insulation system was selected and designed to achieve a U-value of 0.12W/m2K for the wall structure, exceeding the requirements of building regulations. This external wall insulation system is BBA certified and achieves a reaction to fire of A2-s1, d0 in accordance with BS EN 13501-1. The system was finished with StoSilco K2.0 silicone resin render, in white and mid grey, to provide high levels of water repellence and protection from harsh weather. 🌈 StoSuperlit, a natural stone plaster with 24 colours and a fine grain size. This organic plaster can be applied to mineral and organic substrates, especially in the plinth area and in passageways. It is weather-resistant, permeable to water vapour and protects the wall structure from the weather. The play of colours also conceals minor soiling, for example from water splashing. The Markt 38 building is a reinterpretation of a classic half-timbered house facade with its projections created using StoDeco profiles. The insulated façade has the same colour tone and uses different render textures, including smooth render and comb render. StoDeco profiles were used to further enhance the historic appearance, creating their own shadow effect in the sunlight for a subtle and yet lively facade. ☀️ Another successful project by our colleagues in Germany.
