Shortlisted in the KIT - Exterior category of the tenth darc awards is Cu-Pip. The design of this product came from a desire to create a simple, pared-back spike light. One that maintains precise focus with no risk of slipping or subsiding. Building on our established Pipien product's robust architecture, Cu-Pip's miniature IP66 rated module offers a range of colour temperatures and site-changeable optics. It is suspended within a carefully sliced single copper housing which integrates both the ground spike and anti-glare snoot in one simple, pragmatic component. With its natural finish, compact form, and elegant cable exit, the Cu-Pip almost disappears into any landscape. An innovative solution for long lasting landscape design, vote now! https://lnkd.in/eyBA2Zpw #stoanelighting #darcawards #sustainablemanufacture #lightingindustry #lightingdesign

Voting for the tenth @darc_awards is now open! Amongst the shortlisted products in the KIT - Interior category you will find a downlight. Before you think, "𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘩, 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘵", look at it more like: "𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘢𝘯𝘦 𝘓𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮." Ultimately, the LI.DL is a product designed to reduce waste while delivering exceptional performance. The LI.DL is cast in our in-house (renewably powered) forge from unavoidable workshop offcuts. With our innovative use of one of the oldest known metalworking processes, traditional recycling can be an avoidable journey and a seized opportunity. First seen at LiGHT24 and featured in the show's COOLKITLIST, this recycled downlight has an impressive specification: 907𝘭𝘮 𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘵 3000𝘒 𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 90𝘊𝘙𝘐 9.8𝘮𝘮 𝘊𝘖𝘉 805𝘭𝘮 𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘵 3000𝘒 𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 95𝘊𝘙𝘐 9.8𝘮𝘮 𝘊𝘖𝘉 𝘍𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 17º – 58º 6.5𝘞 𝘢𝘵 200𝘮𝘈 Support closing the loop on circularity by voting for LI.DL! https://lnkd.in/eQTcqUBK #stoanelighting #darcawards #lowimpactlighting #responsiblemanufacture #sustainablemanufacture

    Sustainability Lead at Stoane Lighting

Very proud to introduce this! This is a flexible training offering, we can hold online sessions (~1 hour), we can host you here in Edinburgh, or we can come to you. The lighting industry is developing more and more product sustainability data, yet we still hear these sorts of questions: ❓ How can I use this data for sustainability performance comparison and decision making? ❓What product level sustainability information is out there? ❓With EPDs how do I handle the energy in use-related environmental impacts in product selection and project planning? To help you answer these, we can look at topics like: ✔️ Navigating environmental assessment and communication formats ✔️Providing dedicated sessions on lighting remanufacturing and related environmental benefits ✔️How Stoane Lighting can support you early on in projects with sustainability assessment services, to establish which route/approach has a lower impact. The workshop format also allows us flexibility to tailor content to your needs, where your questions lie. Some of these topics can also be delivered as CIBSE accredited CPDs. Get in contact with lisa@mikestoanelighting.com to book a session in! Stoane Lighting | Lisa Sutherland MSLL | Dave H. | Ali Kay
