🏨 A Throwback to Hotel Indigo, Manchester - Blending Old and New 🏙️ It's time to take a walk down memory lane and revisit our remarkable journey at Hotel Indigo, Manchester. This throwback project was nothing short of extraordinary. We embarked on the refurbishment of a 150-year-old Grade II listed building, and the creation of a brand-new rotunda style building, marking the first of its kind in Manchester. 🏗️ This 13-storey venture was both challenging and incredibly rewarding, featuring more than 20 different paint colours. Working with the Grade II Listed section meant honouring the past, navigating irregularly sized and shaped rooms, preserving cornices, mouldings, sash windows, and ornate steelwork, both inside and out. 🏛️ The result? A final project of exceptional standard and specification, praised by the head project manager, the client, and the dedicated hotel staff. Look at these incredible before and after photos! At Graham Commercials in Carlisle, the transformation from a basic concrete surface to a sophisticated, professional look was achieved. Great care was taken in preparing the base to achieve a flawless foundation. Emphasising the importance of the structure's strength, our team coated the substrate with three layers of Damp Proof Membrane to reinforce it against any potential issues related to moisture. Following this, two applications of high-build profile epoxy floor paint were added, resulting in a shiny and resilient finish. By incorporating an anti-slip material into the final layer, our focus extended beyond just appearance to also include safety, creating a secure environment for everyone using the space.
