  • [In collaboration with Granit Architects and Andrew Beasley Photography] In the heart of residential Hampton, we undertook a project of unparalleled ambition and vision—a complete transformation of the property. This endeavour was marked by the complete demolition of the existing structure and the excavation of a full-footprint basement, making way for an entirely new chapter in the life of this property.   Collaborating closely with the esteemed Granit Architects and the talented designer Rachel Usher, our mission was clear: to create a modern, yet highly functional property that not only met but exceeded the unique requirements and aspirations of our clients.   Every detail, from the grand design concept to the minutiae of interior finishes, was scrutinized, discussed, and meticulously considered throughout the project. The property now stands as a beacon of contemporary elegance, seamlessly blending aesthetics with functionality. It embodies the very essence of luxurious modern living, featuring thoughtful design elements that elevate the residential experience to a whole new level.   From the expansive living spaces to the meticulously landscaped outdoor areas, the commitment to excellence is evident in every corner. This project exemplifies our dedication to creating bespoke homes that reflect the individuality and aspirations of our clients.

[In collaboration with Granit Architects and Andrew Beasley Photography] Nestled within the charming locale of Clapham, this property harmoniously marries the time-honoured charm of traditional design with the welcoming, rustic allure of a farmhouse aesthetic. Drawing inspiration from the serenity of the countryside, the interiors are adorned with calming colour finishes that exude a sense of tranquillity, creating a haven within the bustling city. The property underwent a comprehensive transformation, including a generous extension at the rear, meticulously tailored to meet the evolving needs of the client. The extension boasts expansive glass windows that flood the interiors with natural light and offer picturesque views of the surrounding landscape. Adjacent to this, a tiled terrace awaits moments of leisure and relaxation, ideal for enjoying the good weather when it graces us. The entire project was masterfully executed by the dedicated SBC team, with an unwavering commitment to delivering results that exceed the highest expectations. The property now stands as a testament to the successful fusion of tradition and modernity, offering a serene, vibrant, and functional living space for its discerning residents.

  • [In collaboration with Fentiman Design] For this project, we embarked on a remarkable journey, breathing new life into a residence nestled in the heart of Hammersmith. This project was more than just a renovation; it was a transformation of a dated house into a vibrant and cosy home, perfectly mirroring the personality and enthusiasm of our valued clients.   Our team executed a full internal refurbishment and back extension that completely rejuvenated the property. The result is a testament to our dedication to craftsmanship and design excellence. Each corner of this now-inviting home reflects a burst of colour and warmth, offering a harmonious blend of aesthetics and functionality.   From the moment you step through the door, you’ll be greeted by a refreshing atmosphere, where modern elegance seamlessly intertwines with the comforts of home. • [ In collaboration with Secretcape Maison of Design ] We transformed a former office space in the heart of Mayfair into a sophisticated 2-bedroom apartment. For this project, Secretcape's distinctive design features have worked wonders, optimizing the use of space and reimagining the property with a vision of an elegant bachelor pad. A palette of masculine colours and finishes adorns the interior, and the existing decor was skillfully refurbished to reflect the owner's taste, evoking an alluring American design style. Throughout the apartment, Strong Base Joinery has manufactured bespoke joinery, adding a touch of craftsmanship and functionality to each corner of the space. This collaboration has resulted in a remarkable transformation, achieving an exquisite balance of form, function, and style within the heart of Mayfair.

  • [In collaboration with Studio 1 Architects] The ground floor apartment of this impressive mansion block was not lacking space, however, the depth of the plan meant it was lacking light and views. By uncovering the internal courtyard and creating new openings and visual connections, Studio 1 Architects managed to fill this spacious apartment with natural light whilst enabling one to visually connect to the rear gardens from all the common spaces of this exclusive property. Extensive reconfigurations meant a full refurbishment was required which was carried out to a high specification. The new layout opened up the living spaces which created a better-proportioned communal space from which you can access the highly coveted private residential gardens of Notting Hill. The use of contemporary design knits seamlessly with the abundant period features which were reinstated into the property.

  • Country House in Berkshire [In collaboration with Studio 1 Architects] An external “facelift” and complete internal re-configuration and refurbishment to transform this tired country house into a stunning mansion and family home. The house sat amongst an impressive garden beside the Grade II Listed Farley Court and its grounds which included ancient Redwood trees and Oak forests. The Georgian Mansion of Farley Court sits strikingly amongst these ancient trees and gardens whilst our client's house, the old coach house, had little to no architectural merit. Through much dialogue with the client and working alongside the Council's Conservation Architect it was decided that a total readdress of all external elements of the building would be of benefit to the house itself and the wider context. The addition of a two-storey extension to the front of the property created a suitably impressive entrance threshold for the newly remodelled house. Bespoke traditional stone mouldings, columns, lead dormers, lead canopies and traditionally detailed windows set the tone for an elegantly and well-proportioned exterior that unquestionably enhanced the building and its surroundings. To the rear Studio 1 Architects designed a timber Orangery replacing the existing UPV conservatory. Externally this complemented the rest of the building design whilst internally fulfilling the clients' desire to have a light-filled entertaining space, with direct access to the beautiful gardens. Internally all rooms were refurbished to a high standard, with bespoke joinery designed by Studio 1 Architects. A bold stone staircase creates a dramatic entrance to the home. The vast open plan layout is split up with the use of glazed Crittal doors. At the heart of the living space is a three side fireplace creating a focal point from kitchen, dining and orangery.

  • [In collaboration with Granit Architects] In this project, we were faced with the challenge of converting a derelict London chapel into nine saleable residential units. Situated within a conservation area and constrained by planning limitations stemming from the building's historic facade, the project posed complex issues. Additionally, the site was infested with Japanese knotweed. Despite all of the above challenges, we managed to perform to the highest expectations and build modern, high-performance residential units.

  • [In collaboration with Granit Architects] For this project, our team partially demolished a 1930s semi-detached house and built a large basement extension to accommodate the requirements of the brief. Our clients acquired a moderately sized semi-detached house in Castelnau, Barnes, south-west London in April 2012. Their objective was to remodel the house and build a large extension and a new basement. The house was rebuilt and completely re-furbished to provide a luxury 6 double bedroom home.
