Building strategy-driven brands for Designers, Architects and Photographers | Helping you attract the work you want

To build a successful brand you need: 1) Strategy that aligns with your goals 2) Clear and consistent brand direction 3) Quality graphic design 4) Messaging that resonates with an ideal client That’s what I did for an Interior Designer last year. We started by identifying the goal: “To build a reputation as an expert that stood out to their ideal client and attracted opportunities in their industry.” This is how we did it: 1) We had a clear plan about how to reach ideal clients. 2) Clear intentions about what the business stood for. 3) Bespoke branding and templates to create a recognisable identity. 4) Concise messaging that could be used across every touch point. I understand the powerful impact branding can have on creative businesses. That’s why I build brands with purpose. Building strategy-driven brands for Designers, Architects and Photographers | Helping you attract the work you want

“We don’t need branding.” “We’re getting enough work.” “We get our work from word of mouth.” “We already have a logo.” Some of the reasons creative businesses don’t consider their brand. Business might be going well now. But building a brand is about a long-term strategy. Your ideal clients will do their research. And will be presented with options. They will see your competitors who are: - Specialists - Award-winning - Highly-rated - Visible online Because these businesses haven’t limited their reach. They’ve opened doors to new opportunities because they: - Created an identity that stands out - Built a reputation as an expert - Increased brand awareness - Made meaningful connections Want to attract the work you want? Invest in your brand. Don’t rely on other people to determine the growth of your business. Building strategy-driven brands for Designers, Architects and Photographers | Helping you attract the work you want

4 simple things I do to work on my brand: 1) I review my website regularly for outdated content ↳ This ensures my portfolio and services reflect the kind of work I want to attract. 2) I engage consistently on social media ↳ I post updates, answer questions and build meaningful connections with other designers and potential clients. 3) I check any brand visuals for consistency across platforms ↳ This ensures the logo, colours and fonts remain cohesive. 4) I analyse the brand’s performance metrics ↳ I track engagement, leads and inquiries so I can adjust my approach if necessary. These simple tasks keep my brand stay relevant! Are you doing any of them? #brandingtips #branddesign #branddesigner #personalbrand #personalbranding

Building strategy-driven brands for Designers, Architects and Photographers | Helping you attract the work you want

In August, I started working with an Interior Designer. Although they had an exceptional portfolio, they were struggling to stand out in a crowded market. We turned things around with: 1) A strong visual identity ↳ We developed a cohesive and professional looking identity. 2) Clear brand direction ↳ We implemented a brand strategy that aligned with their goals and resonated with their target audience. 3) Customisable templates ↳ These templates not only saves time, but ensures their online presence is consistent and visually appealing. As a result our client: 1) Increased client engagement ↳ They saw a notable increase in client enquiries and engagement on social media. 2) Developed streamlined processes ↳ This allowed them to focus more on their business and less on managing their brand. Building strategy-driven brands for Designers, Architects and Photographers | Helping you attract the work you want

How to define your ideal client Pick 3 projects from your portfolio (that you want to do more of) 1) Who is the client? (location, age, gender, budget) 2) Where do they hang out? (what platforms are they active on) 3) What are their pain points? (what were they struggling with) 4) Why did they choose you? (what made them say ‘yes’) 5) How did you help? (what did you do and why) Be clear about who your business is for. Understand who they are, where you’ll find them and what they’re looking for. Do this and you’ll attract more ideal clients. #brandingtips #branddesign #creativecareer #creativebusiness #brandstrategy
