About us

Angela Roth is CEO of Succeed From The Start; having worked as a coach over the past seven years. During her work in the field of Emotional Eating and Weight Loss, Angela became increasingly aware of the many gifted, heart-led, compassionate & highly skilled coaches she was now meeting - many of whom had been enticed into paying for high-ticket programmes that simply didn't provide what they offered. Discovering that many of these coaches were stilll struggling to find their audience, and therefore, to build their business and reach the people who needed their expertise, she created a new collaborative platform, where she could bring together coaches who served the same audience, but who met different needs through a wide variety of methods. Angela now creates events where coaches can collaborate to offer new and innovative solutions to clients in a safe and supportive environment. She helps these coaches, who form part of her Business Membership, to craft and create their own offers, and to build not only their audience, but also their expertise, content, self belief and their own base of testimonials - if you'd like to know more, please just ask. The truth is, that we all deserve the right to Succeed From The Start - no-one begins their business on a whim, without any knowledge of the subject area they use as their base, but until they have client experience, how will they gain new clients? It's a conundrum Angela has seen many struggle with, buying into high-ticket programmes in order to achieve their goal; believing the promises to give them everything they need in order to grow their business, often being told that's it's all a question of mindset. However, it's her belief, that if you want your business to grow authentically, you just need real experience, real case studies, and real testimonials - how much more authentic is that, than a bucketful - or lorry load of mindset?     Was starting your business easy? Were you filled with passsion and enthusiam; motivated to take all the action you needed to, yet somehow, things didn't go according to plan? Did you find yourself following some 'guru' or other, paying significant sums for the training that was going to bring the success you knew you deserved, only to find yourself confused or let down, when the advice given turned out to be misleading or unhelpful? Or worse still, that the support you had been promised, simply vanished into thin air when the challenges arose, leaving success forever just outside your reach? If that's you, if you resonate with any of these scenarios, or have faced other obstacles not mentioned here, then this post is for you! You see, there are all too many heart-led coaches and entrepreneurs who never reach their full potential; not because they don't have it in them to succeed, and not because they aren't worthy of success either. They simply don't reach the place where they can fulfill their purpose and vision because they don't have the right support behind them, and around them. They don't succeed because they don't know how to navigate the weeds and the brambles that stand in their way; and they don't know who to ask for help to push on through. The Office for National Statistics tells us that around 20% of new business fail within their first year, and 60% within 3 years; pretty bad news, wouldn't you say? But worse still, is that this is just the businesses they know about, it takes no account of those who are searching for a way they can bring positive change into the lives of others, change they have experienced themselves, change they truly care about. It takes no account of all the money spent on training courses and certifications that ultimately lead nowhere because of the lack of support and a place of belonging for those who are at the start of their journey. But today, I want to tell you that it doesn't have to be this way, not at all! If you have a passion to serve; a heart-led conviction that you are here to change lives for the better; then don't ever allow something, or someone to stand in your way. For the beauty inside of you will find the right place to blossom, if only you look up and not down; if only you keep fighting for your beliefs, and take hold only of help offered by those who are committed to you, and your vision; at times, perhaps, even more than you are! So don't give up, no matter how hard it seems, there are too many waiting in the wings who need your help. It is your right to Succeed From The Start, trust me, I know.     Do your potential clients know who you are? Will they find you, when they need you? Or are you the one who is constantly searching for them? If so, it must be very tiring, and I'd love to show you a different way. You see, there are those out there who will tell you that 'omnipresence' is the thing; that you should be seen everywhere, that you should be constantly posting content, videos, reels and so on. But do you want to be? And does it really work? There are others who will tell you that AI lead gen is the latest thing; bots that create conversations for you, pretending to be you, even booking calls for you. But will they truly be able to bring you the right people? In my experience, whilst these strategies may bring some superficial success, the most powerful strategy of all is far more satisfying, and leaves a footprint behind that is yours alone. A footprint that others will choose to follow, the more they realise that you mean what you say, and that what you say has the power to change lives. Knowing how to market yourself is the number 1 strategy for any successful business. It will enable you to stand head & shoulders above your competition; it will draw your ideal clients towards you like nothing else. Here's what you need to do: 1. Write down the 3 most fundamental beliefs that underpin your business 2. Write down the 3 top questions your ideal client is asking, that you know you can answer. 3. Write down the 3 most important results you help your clients achieve. Now, choosing the social media platform(s) where your ideal client lives, use what you've written above to create content rich, practical, and/or thought-provoking posts that will stand out to your ideal audience. You see, you could spend countless hours making clever, eye-catching posts, but if your ideal client doesn't know who you are, what you can do for them, and that they can truly trust you, what good is that? Whereas, by following the steps above, you will soon be enjoying what you write, and those you wish to serve will start to sit up and take notice of you.     If you could only choose one value, to build your business around, what would it be? And from that value, what qualities and/or characteristics do you feel best express what your business stands for; what is most important for you, both in the way you are perceived by those outside your business, and by those who become your clients? Have you thought about it? Or is it something that you simply live by naturally, intuitively? Why do I ask? Simply because, even if you are someone who naturally, instinctively lives by your principles, it is still an important step to take, especially if you want to be clear about whom you will work with, and whom you will not! By following this process, you will gain clarity about those you are called to serve; you will become confident in your ability to say YES to the right people, and to say NO when the wrong person asks for your help! So this weekend, spend a little time looking into your values; ask yourself how those values show up for you; then shape them, being sure you know how you will manifest those qualities.     How carefully do you think about the promises you make to your clients? And how carefully do you think about the promises you believe when others make an offer to you? Why am I asking? Because it's an issue that's arisen too many times now for me to ignore. And because I hear far too many business coaches giving advice to their students on this area without sharing the wisdom needed to make the right decision about the promise(s) they should make! Here's the promises I see in common practice: * If you don't achieve what I've promised in X months, I will work with you for free until you do... * If I don't deliver the results I'm guaranteeing in X months, I will give you a full refund, no questions asked.... * If you don't reach the goals I'm promising in X months, I will give you a full refund AND I will work for free until you do..... REALLY? HONESTLY? Quite simply, I'm afraid to say that the answer is YES that these promises are frequently made, but sadly, NO that these promises are ever kept. (Or rarely in my experience) Now I don't mean to sound cynical, and those who know me will know that this would not be my normal mood, but no longer can I sit by and see the injustice of fake promises made to draw people in, while all the while, somewhere hidden in the small print, there has been placed a subtle 'get out of jail free' clause such as, 'the client must complete a certain form in 24 hours', or' 'if the client fulfills their obligations', without specifying what those obligations are. And yes, I have fallen foul of these kind of practices myself - not because I'm stupid, far from it, but because I trusted that the person making the promise would honour it. It was that simple. So today, I have two pleas to make to you: 1. When something sounds too good to be true, and the person selling to you tells you it's a no-brainer, do the wisest thing possible, walk away! Or at the very least, please check the small print in minute detail. 2. Dig deep into your own heart when it comes to making your own promises. Be absolutely 100% sure that you can deliver what you offer. Of course, your client needs to do their part, but keep your relationship going with them, don't let them slip through the net, look after them and help them to fulfill their part. And if all else fails, and something goes wrong, hold your hands up, apologise, and work together to help them succeed another way. You see, at the end of the day, it's not the promise of the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow that will bring you a lasting and successful business. It's the integrity with which you serve your clients, and the fact that you will walk alongside them until they achieve their heart's desire. I will never promise to make you a millionaire, but I will work my socks off to make sure you achieve your true potential, of that you can be utterly certain! #promise #succeedfromthestart #angelaroth

    How passionate are you about the service you offer? And how determined are you to make sure that those who would benefit from that service, are offered the chance to experience it? Of course, if you're anything like me, I'd hazard a guess that there is nothing you'd like more? So let me ask you this; just how comfortable are you at selling your services? How easy do you find those sales conversations? How openly do you share the magic you can bring into someone else's life, offering them the opportunity to work with you naturally, and authentically? I ask because sales skills are by no means an easy thing to pick up, especially for those who are heart-led, and I should know, I've had to learn the hard way myself! The thing is, though, that it doesn't have to be that way, I promise you. It doesn't have to be sleazy, pushy, salesy, or manipulative - in fact it should NEVER be any of those things, and by the way, if you ever find yourself on the receiving end of such a sales call, I'd advise you to end that call and walk away as fast as you can! Why? Because the salesperson who works like that, rarely has your best interests at heart, believe me! So how should you sell? How can you sell your services authentically, honestly, and from your heart, not your bank balance? Here are 3 simple steps that should be at the centre of all you do when it comes to sales in the future: 1. Always listen well to your potential client. Make sure you fully understand their pain, and the position they find themselves in. Ask simple, but searching questions and then wait for them to speak - never, ever put words into their mouth! In other words, listen in order to truly hear what they say, and not because you want to speak! 2. Once you feel you have a grasp of their situation, relay it back to them. Ask for their permission to do this, and allow them time to correct you, if it seems that you misunderstood something they said. 3. Finally, ask them if they would like to hear more about how you can help. Only then should you be sharing the support, and practical help you are able to provide; only then should you be making them an offer they can't refuse. You see, when the sales process has its firm foundation in your values, your integrity and your own mission to serve, you will find your service so much easier to promote, and ultimately, as you become increasingly confident about what you do, your offer will become like giving a gift, and I can promise you, there is no better feeling than this! #sales #service #succeedfromthestart #angelaroth #makeanoffer
