It is not easy working on your purpose as a business owner. Others may perceive that 'you have it made' or 'have lost who you are' when they don't understand just how focused you really are on the purpose, and why you can no longer be who they expect you or want you to be. Along the way, you make mistakes. You have highs and lows, sun and rain. You learn. You grow. You evolve. But once in a while, things that may seem little to others happen, and remind you that God is never asleep and the path you started on, continues. Today, I had one of those. I feel grateful to have been informed that the team at BusinessCloud has shortlisted our business www.gfaexchange.com as one of the 181 UK companies for potential inclusion in the FinTech 50, an annual ranking that focuses on the most innovative UK companies creating tech for finance and payments. As a bootstrapped #Birmingham technology business, I founded the business to develop and provide proprietary AI-powered solutions to tackle the inequality in access to finance for underserved groups, primarily black, women, and disability-owned businesses globally, though we are open to supporting all - every business and the people behind them, deserve the equal opportunity to be the best that they can be, regardless of their difference. No, I am not from a tech background, just a normal man with a relentless, and unapologetic focus for fairness on a global scale. If you would be kind enough, I would value your support on a simple vote. https://lnkd.in/eMMYjWEm Good luck to all fellow businesses who have been shortlisted from the Midlands too! #itsabrumthing #weallwin TechWM Yiannis Maos MBE Tech Nation UK Tech Cluster Group SuperTech WM Jof Walters Debbie Assinder
