We've recently held our very first 'Ageing Well' learning event at Billingshurst Community Centre. With partners such as Alzheimer's Society, Healthwatch, Age UK and Active Sussex in attendance alongside our clinicians within Adult Services, the event provided an opportunity to engage, learn and share experience with other clinicians.

This #AHPsDay Elaine, one of our Senior Specialist Diabetes Dietitians, talks about why she loves being an AHP. She says, “Being part of the patients' multidisciplinary team is an honour, I see us as their cheerleader team. It's so rewarding to see a patient improve their health, happiness and quality of life.” With over 850 Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) working across seven different professions within our Trust we want to take this opportunity to say thank you to all our AHPs for the incredible work they do. This week is #CelebratingCommunityServices week, hear from Siobhan Melia, our Chief Executive and Chair of the Community Network, about why community health services are so important.
Community services are a fundamental part of our lives - from the start, throughout the journey, often to our last days. They are there for us in so many ways. Community Network chair Siobhan Melia knows just how important community services are, and that's why we're #CelebratingCommunityServices with NHS Confederation all next week. We’ll be sharing case studies and resources throughout the week to highlight the sector’s role and importance, successes and impact. Show your support and get involved now! 🔗 https://bit.ly/3RQKXKN

We joined thousands of people on Saturday in the Brighton and Hove Pride Parade. Thankfully the rainy weather stayed away and it was great to see so many people cheering, waving and dancing along to the music. 🏳️🌈 Our LGBTQIA+ network was key in arranging and organising our team for the parade, which included a parade flag decorated by staff and volunteers across the trust.
