Last week, AYA Earth Partners hosted the Market Sounding Board for Brazil’s first ever restoration concession, at the Bom Futuro National Forest. Organized by the Serviço Florestal Brasileiro, BNDES, Conservation International, and others, including Systemiq Ltd., in consortium with Imaflora through the UK Pact program, the project marks a significant milestone in restoring degraded lands. The project will enable the generation of revenue through the sale of high integrity carbon credits, promoting forest recovery and conservation by the private sector. BNDES’ support is essential, as they are backing concession projects in various states with R$ 3.5 million funding, demonstrating a clear commitment to sustainability and environmental preservation.
