  • Let’s find out a little more about the founder and Managing Director of T3 Training and Development, Andy Adams.    What is your role within T3? I am the founder and Managing Director of T3 Training & Development. I set up T3 in 2016 after becoming increasingly frustrated by the lack of training within the architecture, engineering and construction sectors. 8 years later, we employ over 25 staff, have coverage across the whole Country (and overseas) and are slowly but surely helping businesses solve the skills shortage they face on a day to day basis. What is your background before you came to T3?    I own and still run an RC Detailing and BIM Consultancy, I specialise in reinforced concrete structures and started my career as an apprentice for a reinforced concrete tank design & build company.  What is the best part about your job?   Seeing apprentices develop and progress in the industry, seeing the benefit our apprentices bring to their employers and our sector and building a successful training company which will hopefully lead the way for industry led apprenticeships and training.    If you had a magic wand, and could change anything in the world – what would it be?    This is the hardest question! I’m going to give you a few answers 1. Social Equality - Everyone, regardless of their background, race, gender, or socioeconomic status, would have the same opportunities in life. No one would be held back by prejudice or inequality, and we could all reach our full potential based on our abilities and dreams, not the circumstances we were born into. 2. I’d finally give England a trophy in football! It’s been a long wait—I think some magic is then only thing that can help us at this point. 3. Traffic Jams, imagine never having to sit in a traffic jam again, this would amazing!   What do you do in your spare time?    Spend time with my family, play and watch football, gym, walking the dogs, travelling – as much as I can to be honest.     Favourite place in the world to go?    Italy or Australia    Favourite meal?    Italian, Japanese, Thai, Indian, Sunday Dinner with Yorkshire Puddings, Steak…..I have too many favourites, this would be a good magic wand answer, make them all healthy too!

  • Let's introduce you to our amazing Abi Hodgkinson who works at our Barnsley head office in our operations team. Let's find out a bit more about her. What is your role within T3?   My role within T3... I handle apprentice onboarding, conducting thorough inductions for apprenticeships and create all necessary signup paperwork. I also serve as the Project Manager for the HS2 Site apprentice initiative (specifically for Formwork and Steel fixers), guaranteeing completion and compliance of all documents. I assist the tutors in material procurement, gather feedback, and coordinate monthly reviews and feedback with employers. I'm readily available to address queries from both apprentices and employers. Additionally, I contribute to company-wide administrative tasks, offering support to apprentices, tutors, and assessors as needed.   What is your background before you came to T3? Before joining T3, I started my career by studying Childcare and Education Professions at Level 3 whilst engaging in early years education. My role involved supporting Key Stage 2 and 3 teachers in the development of young learners. I then transitioned into Hospitality Management, completing Level 3 training and taking on a management position within the hospitality sector. In this role, I was heavily involved in planning events, financial management, budgeting, pricing strategy, stock auditing as well as delivering exceptional customer service. The experience of managing within this kind of environment inspired me to expand my knowledge in the business world. From there I pursued and completed my Level 3 qualification in Business Administration with T3.   What is the best part about your job? The best part of my job is being able to see the apprentices right from the beginning of their learning journey and guiding them until they successfully complete it. Through my involvement in the onboarding and induction process, I establish connections with apprentices and offer ongoing support throughout their program. Additionally, I find fulfillment in assisting the T3 Team and contributing to the company's growth and advancement.   If you had a magic wand, and could change anything in the world – what would it be? I would give everyone "pocket sized cheerleaders" that give you a pep talk whenever you need motivation and encouragement the most.    What do you do in your spare time? I enjoy reading, spending time with my friends, going on lots of holidays, but most of all I like to be at home in my pj's watching a good Netflix True crime documentary.   Favourite place in the world to go?   Malta - the culture, food and architecture there is by far the most beautiful country I have ever visited. It feels like a perfect mix between Italy, Spain and the South of France.   What is favourite meal? My favourite meal is a Chicken Caeser salad with a side of fries in the summer. But in the winter I love a homemade Toad in the Hole with lots of gravy and Tender stem broccoli.

  • NICOLA ADAMS  Nicola is our Operations Director at T3 Training, having worked with us since 2017 and helped to grow the business by setting up systems and processes to allow us to deliver high quality apprenticeship training. Nicola now oversees the operations of the business and support the Finance, Quality & Administration departments.     What is your background before you came to T3?    I have worked in the Apprenticeship Training sector since I left school. I started on an apprenticeship myself at 16 as an apprentice administrator for an Engineering Training Provider and progressed quickly. I developed through completion of various apprenticeships and completed level 2, 3 & 4 which excelled my career very quickly. I moved on to become a Manager and then on to Head of Operations. I then searched for a way I could achieve an assessor/coach qualification which lead me to T3 Training and an exciting opportunity to build this new company which was offering specialist training in Digital Construction that no other provider was offering.     I am an apprenticeship ambassador because without this option I don't know what I'd have done. College and university wasn't for me i hated the classroom environment. I like to get stuck in and learn on the job.  I enjoy the personal growth and the ‘skills for life’ I have acquired during my career.    What is the best part about your job?    Watching the business grow and do well and being part of a team that is so committed, that support each other and care about what they do.
