The Tank Museum extends heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Michael Gibb following the news of his sudden passing.⁣ ⁣ Mike served as a trustee of The Tank Museum between 2010-2019 and made a significant contribution to the military vehicle preservation community through the Weald Foundation, which he established in 2003.⁣ ⁣ Here is an image of the Weald Foundation’s Jagdpanther – a project he was exceptionally proud of - delighting the crowds at TANKFEST 2019.

Today we welcomed Rescue Greyhound Cpl Tilly - the Tank Memorial Ypres Salient Mascot, and her handler Chris Lock BME. A few weeks ago Lance-Corporal Tilly was promoted to full Corporal by TMYS Honorary President Lt General (Retd) David Leakey CMG CVO CBE and simultaneously was invited to become Mascot of the Greyhound Trust. We wish her the best of luck in her new roles. The Tank Memorial Ypres Salient and its accompanying Tank Corps Garden of Remembrance was funded and created by Chris, a former Royal Tank Regiment 'Chieftain' Main Battle Tank gunner/driver, and his wife Milena Kolarikova BEM, with contributions from the Royal Tank Regiment. The memorial is located in Poelkapelle, West Flanders, Belgium.
