As TCCA celebrates its 30th anniversary, coincidentally it was our Critical Communications Broadband Group's (CCBG) 30th plenary last week - this is the largest Working Group of TCCA, formed in 2012, and is chaired by Tero Pesonen. The plenary was generously hosted in Budapest by TCCA member Pro-M Zrt. and we thank Miklós Takács and Viktória Oláh-Nagy from Pro-M and CCBG secretary Sarah Gilliland for their excellent organisation and support. As usual a great amount of progress was made and actions agreed, and many thanks to all who attended in person - pictured below in an impressively colour-co-ordinated group - and online. Too many to mention - but special thanks to all the presenters: Miklos,, Tero, Sara Olsson, Hans Petter Naper, Nina Myren, Michel Duits, Kevin Graham, Harald Ludwig, Jason Johur, Sanne Stijve, Ricardo Blasco, Tim Clark, Noel Kirkaldy, Filippo Gaggioli, Thibault Holley, Brittany Haile, Sami Honkaniemi, Kevin Knappett, Peter Hudson, Brian Murgatroyd, Saurav A., Eric Bouton, Adrian Grilli, Erik Guttman, David Lund, Manfred Blaha, Charlotte Roesener, Gösta Kallner, Asif Hamidullah and Chris Jones. Celebrating 30 years of advancing critical communications - TCCA-Critical Communications enters its fourth decade as the authoritative voice of the sector. For 30 years, TCCA has been at the forefront of promoting the use of standardised technologies to deliver mission-critical communication systems that are secure, available, resilient, interoperable and, ultimately, trusted. In the five years since we marked our 25th anniversary, much has been achieved despite the global pandemic. From Board chair Mladen Vratonjic, vice-chair Tero Pesonen Suomen Erillisverkot -konserni, Board members Tim Clark Motorola Solutions, Jason Johur Ericsson, Cate Walton UK Home Office, Nina Myren Direktoratet for samfunnssikkerhet og beredskap (DSB), Francesco Pasquali Leonardo DRS, Mika Laitinen Airbus Defence and Space, Steve Barber Sepura and CEO Kevin Graham, thank you to all our members and partners for their hugely valued support and contributions that combine to deliver the collaborative advancement of critical communications. We would also like to thank the critical communications media outlets that are so supportive and publicise our work. “During all these years, the market has shown that this kind of association was necessary.” said Mladen. “TETRA is not only a marketing hit, it is a triumph of quality, a careful and smart approach, a joint success of producers and users under the watchful eye of TCCA – and TCCA initiates the same approach when defining broadband solutions for critical communications. "The undeniable desire of all stakeholders to cooperate in the application of high-quality open standards is a guarantee that TCCA will continue to be a leading player in the field of critical communications in the future."
