We are thrilled to announce that Telent has been awarded a contract extension to operate and manage the digital connectivity network for National Highways’ Strategic Road Network (SRN) through 2028. This marks our second contract extension with National Highways, further solidifying our role in delivering digital technology services for the National Roads Telecommunications Service (NRTS). NRTS plays a crucial role in ensuring innovation and reliability, minimising network downtime, and reducing disruption for road users across the UK. Telent’s NRTS contract with National Highways began in 2018, meaning over the past seven years, we have successfully enhanced digital platforms that have modernised connectivity across the UK’s roads, improving the reliability and operating performance across the network infrastructure. • This Saturday, 8th March 2025, marks International Women’s Day (IWD) - a global day to celebrate and action for women's rights and equality. The theme for 2025 is #AccelerateAction, calling for increased momentum and urgency in addressing the barriers and biases that women face, both in their personal and professional lives. Although International Women’s Day focuses on topics related to women, it’s important that everyone gets involved in the conversation. After all, biases and stereotypes affect everyone, but together, we can work to challenge these norms. In honour of this, the Women's Community hosted an inspiring workshop on "Owning Your Own Success" led by Dr Kate Atkin - Author, facilitator, inspirational speaker, and training coach. With nearly 200 attendees across our Warwick, Choley, Pirin and Heathrow offices, this workshop empowered individuals to conquer the imposter mindset with courage and confidence Let's continue to drive positive change in 2025. #IWD2025 #WomensCommunity #DiversityAndInclusion #Telent

  • Telent to play a key role in transition to ESN 📢 Telent will play a key role in the deployment of the Emergency Services Network (ESN), which will support police, fire and ambulance services plus other public safety organisations in Great Britain, providing them with better technology and faster access to data in emergencies and frontline operations. IBM, recently announced as the new User Services supplier for ESN, have appointed Telent to be responsible for the on-boarding of User Organisations to the new network which will support more than 300,000 emergency responders. Working as part of a wider IBM led eco-system of suppliers, Telent’s initial focus will be performing readiness assessments of the IT and communication infrastructure in place with each user organisation. These assessments will identify and advise on any changes, upgrades or approvals required to support the transition to ESN. We look forward to working with the emergency services organisations alongside IBM and other trusted partners, including Samsung Electronics, Ericsson, Exponential-e, Frequentis, and Palo Alto Networks, to help ensure the success of ESN and better equip our emergency services with efficient and reliable communications.
