Working with Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) was great, advising on the Green Infrastructure, Mitigating Impacts and Environmental Sustainability sections of this SPD, which will shape London's largest area of Strategic Industrial Land. We drew on insights from across our Temple #ecology, #arboriculture, #airquality, #noiseandvibration and #sustainability colleagues. We worked with our friends at Yellow Sub Geo Ltd to inform the recommendations on drainage. Throughout all of it, the hard work, dedication and vision of the team at OPDC was apparent, so this is a very well-deserved #PlanningAwards win for them!
Revisiting our detailed illustrations that helped develop, illustrate and communicate emerging planning guidance written by the brilliant planning team Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC). Supporting two Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD) - Industrial Sites SPD, and Public Realm and Green Infrastructure SPD, Publica’s 34 illustrations articulated OPDC’S ambitious approach to delivering best practice industrial developments. The final suite of visualisations is the result of a truly collaborative and iterative process, working closely with Peter Farnham, Sabrina Raja Safdar, Lauren Laviniere, Tom Cardis, Fred Raphael, Ketan Lad and Marina Milosev throughout. We are incredibly pleased that OPDC’s Industrial SPD received the Plan-Making Award at the 2024 Planning Awards. Publica is delighted to have helped invigorate this innovative approach. --- #Publica #UrbanDesign #PlanningAwards2024 #PlanMaking #Illustrations #Axonometric #Landscape Temple

🌿 Temple Ecologists Jess Eyre and Harry Jarvis had a successful tree inspection survey last week, finding a Natterer's bat sleeping in an ash tree. These surveys help us understand how a site is being used by bats, locate confirmed roosts, and how to appropriately mitigate any change. #bats #batsurveys #ecology #treeinspections #batmitigation #roostsurveys
