14 years after setting up TFS Healthcare, I have taken the decision to sell the business. I was 22 when I set this business up and now at the ripe old age of 36 I have decided it’s the right time to hand the reins over. It has been an incredible journey of growth to become one of the UK’s most recognised healthcare recruitment brands and no matter what I do with the rest of my career, TFS will always be the original to me. TFS, along with its sister company, Soleus People have been acquired by Altrix Group who have some exciting plans over the coming years that I am pleased to say I will be a part of. I have retained some equity in the newly formed group and will now take on the role of board advisor to support Altrix, TFS and Soleus in their the new chapter. What made TFS so unique, and was undoubtedly the main factor in its success, was the people and the culture. I would like to thank every single individual along the way that helped contribute to TFS’s journey, too many to mention specifically but you know who you are! I have learnt so much about business since that 22 year old kid decided to start up in a recruitment sector he knew very little about. Growing businesses is about not being afraid to make mistakes (there have been plenty), ensuring you’ve got the right people around you to build a culture that breeds success, and most importantly, don’t forget to enjoy the journey!
