I’ve been in the business world for decades, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned from running companies, working with clients and watching other businesses fail, it's this: liquidity is king. You can have the best product, the best team, and the best intentions, but if you don’t have cash on the hip when you need it, your business is on thin ice. When I say “liquidity,” I’m talking about the ability to meet your immediate and short-term financial obligations. It’s not the same as profit. Your business could be turning a profit on paper, but if you can’t pay your bills when they come due, that paper profit won’t save you. Trust me, I’ve seen more than a few businesses go under because they confused the two.
