  • Last week, we were thrilled to host our Supply Chain Decarbonisation Conference in Nottingham, focusing on helping the construction industry cut carbon emissions, refine procurement processes, and weave sustainability into future contracts. With 100 local construction professionals in attendance, the event showcased insightful presentations from Chris Clarke, Arc's Strategy and Service Improvement Director, Michael Wayne Bexton, Director of Green Growth, Investment and Assets at Nottinghamshire County Council, and representatives from Morgan Sindall Construction and Nottinghamshire County Council. Attendees gained valuable insights into Nottinghamshire County Council’s carbon reduction strategy and how Arc Partnership is achieving these goals. They learned about supply chain expectations from public sector clients and main contractors, positioning themselves well for future procurement opportunities, and received support to help their businesses meet carbon reduction targets and advance on their decarbonisation journey. Thank you to everyone who joined us! We hope you left inspired to collaborate in building a brighter future for Nottinghamshire. #Decarbonisation #SustainableConstruction #CarbonReduction #Nottinghamshire

Staff and pupils at a Ruddington school are enjoying the benefits of a major improvement scheme to transform its facilities. More than £2 million has been invested in a range of improvements at James Peacock Infant and Nursery School as part of our School Building Improvement Programme. The school now boasts new ceilings and lighting, as well as a replacement roof and insulation and external cladding, following work to upgrade the building’s infrastructure and improve energy efficiency. Arc Partnership, a joint venture between Nottinghamshire County Council and SCAPE, designed, delivered and cost managed the improvement scheme. • Last year, Newark Library temporarily closed its doors for essential maintenance and repairs, focusing on fixing the heating and cooling systems to ensure a comfortable environment during both chilly winters and sweltering summers. Situated in the heart of Newark town, the Nottinghamshire County Council enlisted the help of Arc Partnership for the planned upgrades. These improvements were aimed at enhancing the library’s climate control, ensuring a more pleasant experience for both visitors and staff. By July, the library was back in action, eagerly welcoming both familiar faces and newcomers, strengthening the community. • We are delighted to have reached a significant milestone in the delivery of the Horizons Academy, a new state-of-the-art school for students with special educational needs (SEN) in Mansfield! 👷 To commemorate the successful installation of the project's structural elements, a special timber frame signing ceremony took place. Sam Smith, the Leader of Nottinghamshire County Council was joined by fellow councillors and representatives from Arc Partnership, Morgan Sindall Construction and Diverse Academies Trust. On track for completion in November, this £30 million school will offer a nurturing and tailored learning environment for up to 160 children with special educational needs. It is a key part of Nottinghamshire County Council’s broader initiative to meet the growing demand for specialist school places, ensuring students have the support and resources they need to thrive. Arc Partnership is responsible for the design, cost and project management of the scheme on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, with construction being undertaken by Morgan Sindall Construction. 📚A Nottinghamshire primary school is set to undergo a multi-million refurbishment to breathe new life into its facilities. Work is to begin later this year on the ‘significant’ £2.5m scheme at High Oakham Primary School (HOPS) in Mansfield as part of our School Building Improvement Programme. The improvements include the installation of a new pitched roof, replacement ceilings and lighting and upgraded fire alarm systems, which will ensure that the Nottingham Road school ‘is safe and sound and fit for purpose’ as a place of education. Arc Partnership, a joint venture between ourselves and SCAPE, will design, deliver and cost manage the improvement scheme.
