The human story of business.
About us
The Beautiful Truth is dedicated to building new narratives of what business can and should be about. We are corporate purpose strategists, expert filmmakers and transformational storytellers. Since 2002 we’ve been fascinated by the potential business has to be beneficial for employees, society and the environment. For change to be authentic and long lasting, it has to come from the inside out. Our research into the purpose-led economy connects positive psychology, transformational leadership and social / environmental impact. Through this approach, we partner with purpose-driven organisations to craft new narratives that catalyse the shift towards the long term well-being of people and planet.

"Hindsight is a great gift, but it always arrives a bit too late," says award-winning intrapreneur turned writer and speaker Gib Bulloch. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eh8dB3N3 Gib Bulloch spent 25 years in the corporate world. He became a poster child for the “intrapreneurship” movement. However, his success came at a price. After experiencing burnout and a mental breakdown, he discovered the power of slowing down and reconnecting with himself and the world around him. It led him to start a business decelerator program on the Scottish Island of Bute Craigberoch Business Decelerator. Its aim: encourage business leaders to slow down, break the cycle of busyness and allow people and ideas to thrive. This is the first of a regular opinion column by Gib Bulloch called 'The Inside Out Leader'. He will explore the connections between business, purpose, presence and spirituality, and share insights on how leaders can shape a regenerative global business ecosystem. "It's a call to action – more accurately, a call to inaction," says Gib. Is there a dark side to finding a meaningful job? According to Andreana Drencheva, Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at King's College London, dedicating yourself to meaningful work could lead to an erosion of your sense of authentic self. That's if organisations fail to develop a strong foundation of working conditions that centre respect, care and fairness. The Beautiful Truth has a commitment to telling stories of hope and purpose, to help bring about change for meaningful causes. Earlier this year we worked with The Dear Toby Trust to produce a short documentary film for their fundraising campaign. The Dear Toby Trust is raising money to support paediatric (childhood) cancer care and research in the UK, which is severely underfunded. The trust was established in loving memory of Toby Hambrook-Skinner, who sadly passed away at just seven months old from acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). In creating the film, we worked closely with parents whose children have been affected by these life-threatening cancers, telling their stories with compassion and care. You can watch the film and donate to the Dear Toby Trust to help find a kinder way and create a brighter future for children with cancer: https://lnkd.in/e88u66aJ Nathan Hambrook-Skinner Verity Hambrook-Skinner #charity #DearTobyTrust #ChildhoodCancerAwareness
