We're bringing Whisky-making back to the Borders. The Borders Distillery is the first to bring back the tradition of distilling in the Scottish Borders since 1837. Our award-winning distillery is dedicated to making great whisky and to capturing the spirit of the Borders. The Borders Distillery's portfolio includes W:01 Borders Malt & Rye, which is the first Scotch Whisky Blend to leave the region in 185 years. Our second release of Blended Whisky, WS:02 The Long & Short of it, arrives October 2023. Using our Scottish Borders malted barley, we also distill Kerr's Borders Gin and Puffing Billy Steam Vodka, entirely distilled by TBD.

The long and short of it is... WS:02 is a FINALIST at the Scottish Whisky Awards 🥃🥇 We're excited to announce our experimental blend, WS:02 The Long and Short of it, is a finalist in the Blended Scotch category at the Scottish Whisky Awards 2024. For this second edition of the Workshop Series, our distillers experimented with very short fermentations of 55 hours and very long ones of 150 hours. Both batches were then distilled twice and matured in first fill ex-bourbon barrels, before being married with single grain. Boldly blended in the Borders 🙌 - Please enjoy our spirit responsibly.
