We're delighted to announce that a beautiful sculputure from The Box's collection titled 'Constellation' by Dame Barbara Hepworth has been loaned to Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera in Barcelona for an exhibition called 'Art In Stone'. This is a major show that brings a range of amazing sculptors together. If you're visiting Barcelona at some point before 2 February 2025, we'd thoroughly recommend.

Four years ago today The Box opened its doors for the first time - over five months later than planned because of the Covid-19 pandemic. We've come a long way since then and there's still a lot more we hope to do - but today we're going to enjoy the day and say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. Here's to another year!

The the latest discovery from our 'Reimagining the Film Archive' programme is a fascinating 20-minute long documentary called 'Educational Film: India' which was commissioned by a Christian missionary in the 1960s. The film highlights the cultures and religions in India before the independence of Pakistan and Bangladesh. Its narrative underlines the need for us to reassess our approach to representation in the film archive. https://ow.ly/VItA50SZoaN
