All too often, the focus for new sales leads lies in new customer acquisition, but what if we told you there was another way - and it will cost you less? We’re talking about re-engaging with lapsed customers. Depending on the industry you’re operating in, figures suggest it can cost up to five times more to attract new customers. So, it’s not that surprising to know that re-establishing rapport with lapsed and dormant customers is going to be a more cost-effective solution than generating new leads from scratch. Not convinced? Well, check out our latest blog that explains why you should be re-engaging your lapsed clients. https://lnkd.in/dp8e-trm #lapsedclients #reengagementstrategy #leadqualification

Celebrating EU Multilingualism Day on 28th September Back in 1977, when I was looking at my career options, I really wanted to be a translator for the United Nations. I was studying French, German and Latin and languages were my passion. Life happened, as it does, and I ended up taking a different path but I have retained my love of language and since learned Spanish and a little Greek. When TCB was in its infancy, a British client asked if we could provide telemarketing services in French and German, as well as English for lapsed customer recovery. I spoke both French and German but instinctively knew that native speakers would get much better results. So I recruited a German guy called Warner and a lovely French-Canadian girl called Julie and they made the calls, and the results were way better than I, or the client expected. One German customer told us that this was the first phone call he had received, in German in five years, despite having spent six figures with our client. So, from the get-go, it’s been very clear to me that businesses do best when they can talk to their customers in their native tongue. And we now have native speakers talking to our clients’ customers and prospects in 20+ languages. Of course, English remains the international language of business, and it is true that senior stakeholders in many organisations do speak English. But what about their receptionists, their switchboard operators and their assistants? It is not a given that they are English-speakers, and it does not give the best impression if you expect them to be. If someone has decided to buy from your organisation, they will most probably, be happy to talk to you in English. But it is different when they are at the “courtship” stage of their buying journey, just browsing and looking at options for who to buy from. Like a romance, at the very early stages of a business relationship, nuances are important. You will achieve much higher levels of engagement if you reach out to them in their native tongue as it shows respect and demonstrates that they are important to you. The same applies when they have fallen out of love with your business and are now buying from a competitor. They need to feel that they are being listened to and understood, and that, of course, works best in their own language. So while the EU parliament is celebrating Multilingualism Day this Saturday, and showcasing its approach to working in 24 languages, we’re quietly working away on behalf of our clients, in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Bulgarian, Portuguese, Czech, Arabic, Turkish, Hindi, Gujarati, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian... https://lnkd.in/dqMgK4t7 #multilingualism #nativespeakers #customercloseness #globalcustomers #speakingtheirlanguage

Have you ever hosted a virtual meeting and come away feeling unsure whether people were engaged or even listening at all? Well, you’re not alone. Conducting online meetings is no easy feat and it can be really hard to gauge delivery and engagement in the virtual meeting space, as unlike in-person scenarios, you can’t easily read body language. But the good news is, a somewhat muted response doesn’t necessarily mean that people switched off or that your delivery wasn’t on point. It can be as simple as not understanding how different people process information in a virtual setting or not having the right variety of content formats to resonate with all listener types. In our latest blog post, The Call Business Founder, Andi Catt explains the 4 key types of communicators, along with actionable advice on how to cater for them in virtual meetings – helping you boost your engagement and comprehension. Do you go all-in on AI with live web chat or retain a more analogue approach with manual management? Well, the key is to find the right balance between AI and human interactions. Inevitably, you’re going to need both elements to make your live web chat effective, both in the short and long term. Depending on your requirements and expectations for live web chat, you’ll need to figure out how little or how much of each one you need. In the early stages, AI will need time to learn so you may need more manpower behind the platform, but once AI is programmed, you can scale back the manual interactions, but be careful not to lose that human touch. Learn more about striking the right balance and how to choose the right live web chat platform for your needs. https://lnkd.in/dDynZmpr #livechat #webchat #AIorhuman
