📢 Exciting news! UKAS will be uniting with our National Quality Infrastructure partners (BSI – The UK’s National Standards Body (NSB) , National Physical Laboratory (NPL), Chartered Trading Standards Institute, CQI | The Chartered Quality Institute and the Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers) to march in the iconic Lord Mayor’s Show 2024 on Saturday 9th November in Central London. We’re proud to take part in this grand procession that stretches over three miles, continuing a tradition dating back to the early 13th century. The newly elected Lord Mayor of London will make their ceremonial journey from Mansion House to Westminster, marking the start of their term. The Lord Mayor’s Show is a spectacular event involving 7,000 participants, 200 horses, nearly 150 floats, and the historic State Coach that carries the Lord Mayor. 🎉✨ 📺 Tune in to the BBC on the day to catch the show live! 🖼️Shown in the picture is UKAS Non-Executive Director, Michael Mainelli, as he started his term as the Lord Mayor in November last year.
