YOUNG CHANGEMAKERS: A SPACE TO BE ME_ Today, we celebrate the remarkable journey of the Young Changemakers Programme! Since 2021, this incredible initiative— a collaboration between UK Youth, Centre for Mental Health, and The Diana Award, and funded by players of the People's Postcode Lottery —has been a platform for young Black and Black mixed-race changemakers to address racial inequalities in mental health services. 💭 This illustration captures the hopes and visions these young people have for the future of Black mental health in the UK. Their passion and dedication have been nothing short of inspiring. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported this journey and made the past few years a success! 🎨 Art by eight.ears: https://loom.ly/6ftTJA4

ST ALBAN’S VOLUNTARY ACADEMY: CELEBRATING DIVERSITY_ Students at St Alban’s Voluntary Academy led workshops and activities to celebrate the diversity in their school. The goal was to explore and appreciate how everyone is different. Using books, they created tasks for each year group to learn about diversity. Their Anti-Bullying Ambassadors chose the books and designed activities to help students understand differences and how to treat others kindly. This project helped students appreciate what makes them unique. Great job celebrating diversity, St Alban’s Voluntary Academy! 🖤

The group also delivered an inspiring presentation to members of the Chester Diocesan Race and Ethnicity Forum. They showcased the work they've done throughout the year to foster inclusion and celebrate diversity in all its forms. The forum was deeply impressed by their dedication and expressed interest in collaborating further, using their efforts as a model of best practice for other schools in the area.
